Greenwood Folds to Alvarado's Shove

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 40,000 in the pot, Sam Greenwood and JC Alvarado came to the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{K-Spades} turn. Greenwood checked from the big blind and Alvarado fired 14,000 in the cutoff. Greenwood called and the {5-Spades} completed the board.

Greenwood checked again and Alvarado used one time extensions before moving all in for 54,000. Greenwood, who had Alvarado covered by a few bis, also burned one timebank but then decided to let his hand go.

Greenwood Shoves on Chidwick

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised on the button and he was called by Luc Greenwood in the big blind.

The flop was {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Greenwood checked over to Chidwick. Chidwick put out a bet of 4,000. Greenwood then decided to check-raise, making it 11,000. Chidwick thought a bit then called.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and Greenwood bet again, making it 17,000. Chidwick called once more.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Greenwood moved all in and Chidwick wasted no time folding, allowing Greenwood to take the pot.

Peters Wins in a Three-Bet Pot Against Chidwick

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 6,500 in the cutoff and David Peters countered with a three-bet of 21,000 in position. Chidwick called and the {3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop ceased fire.

Chidwick led out 33,000 when the {3-Diamonds} turn came out and Peters called. The {5-Hearts} saw Chidwick check and Peters used full 30 seconds before grabbing almost all of his belongings, betting just over 80,000. Chidwick quickly folded.

Start of Day Chip Leader Sam Greenwood Eliminated by O'Dwyer

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

After a raise from Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff, Sam Greenwood moved all in for around 60,000 from the small blind. Action folded back to O'Dwyer and he called.

Steve O'Dwyer: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Sam Greenwood: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and O'Dwyer's nines held up allowing him to take down the pot and eliminated Greenwood, the start of day chip leader, in the process.

"Such a good flop for threes too," Greenwood said on his way out.

Lim Rivers a Double Through Aido

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

We arrived when the cards were already turned up as Sergio Aido (button) and Lim Chin Wei (small blind) ended up all in preflop for Lim's 66,500. It was a fair race with Aido holding {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} while Lim had {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The board of {3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} stayed with Aido through the flop and turn but the river gave Lim a jack-high flush and he locked the double up.

Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

Picking up the action on the {4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} turn, Patrik Antonius was all in for 58,000, facing off against Chow Hing Yaung. Antonius was in a dream spot with {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}, having already locked the double before the river was even dealt as Chow showed only {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. The {A-Clubs} river made things official and Antonius vaulted to 145,000 in chips.

O'Dwyer Continues to Amass Chips

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

JC Alvarado opened from the cutoff with a raise to 8,000. Steve O'Dwyer was on the button and he three-bet making it 22,000. Chow Hing Yaung called in the small blind and Alvarado called as well.

The flop was {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and action checked to O'Dwyer. He put out a bet of 20,000 and both players folded.

"Were my jacks good," Chow asked.

O'Dwyer shook his head and flashed the {A-Hearts}.

"I should've four-bet," Chow said

"I should've four-bet," Alvarado said. "I had sevens. 'Lucky Eights'"

Katz Two-Outed by Jinghui

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz raised to 10,000 in the cutoff, his left-hand opponent Sergio Aido three-bet to 21,000 and Ying Jinghu cold four-bet shoved out of the big blind. Katz called for his 60,000 and Aido got out of the way.

Katz peeled a higher pair with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} against {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and the {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop pushed him closer to a double. But the {J-Clubs} hit the turn and Katz stood up, slamming his fists. The {2-Hearts} river eliminated him in 13th place and the remaining players were redrawn to the final two tables.
