Aido Finds Value With Ace-Queen

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Sergio Aido looked down at {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} in the hijack and he opened the action with a raise to 1,800. Luc Greenwood peeled {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} on the button and he decided to flat-call. David Peters matched the price in the big blind, holding {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Aido and Greenwood both flopped the top pair on {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Aido checked it to Greenwood who fired 2,500. Aido called, masking the strength of his hand.

The {5-Clubs} turn was checked through and the {J-Hearts} river looked like an action-killing card. Aido, however, evaluated the situation perfectly and fired a value-bet of 6,000. Greenwood made the call and lost in the showdown.
