Ivey and Koon In, Zhou Up

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Fresh from their escapades in yesterday's Million Euro Cash Game both Jason Koon and Phil Ivey have entered to bring the total number of entries up to 20.

Ivey had evidently been busy as was on his second bullet of his first buy-in when we walked past his table, and was down to 83,000 of that. We loitered by his table hoping to catch Ivey in action and while he folded the first hand we watched, he played the second.

Devan Tang won the first hand by instigating things with a limp from the small blind, before Furkay Rakhimov juiced the action up to 11,000 in the big blind. Romain Arnaud called from the hi-jack and Mikhail Smirnov called the button and Tang also called.

The {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop saw checks from all four players. The {8-Clubs} turn saw Tang lead for 30,000 and that was enough to take it down.

Rakhimov folded the next hand from the small blind and Ivey entered the next pot with a limp. China's Yueqine Zhou called, as did Romain Arnaud before Mikhail Smirnov raised to 12,000 from the button.

Ivey and Arnaud folded but Zhou made the call to take the action heads-up to a flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Hearts} with Zhou check-calling a Smirnov c-bet. The {a-Hearts} turn saw the Chinese player check again and Smirnov bet out 30,000 but folded immediately when Zhou check-raised all-in.
