Another Showdown Win for Phua

Level 26 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Paul Phua raised to 700,000 with {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Wai Kin Yong called with [109c].

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}, and both players checked. The {3-Spades} hit the turn, and Yong check-called a 600,000 bet.

Yong checked after the {q-Clubs} fell on the river, and Phua bet 1,400,000. Yong was once again put to the test and again called only to see Phua with the advantage.

Ben Heath Eliminated in 3rd Place (£1,350,000)

Level 25 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Ben Heath was in the small blind when he looked down at {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, he elected to complete and Paul Phua raised to 925,000 from the big blind with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Heath three-bet to 2,500,000 and Phua moved all in. Heath snap-called for his remaining 6,900,000 and the players turned over their hands.

Ben Heath: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Paul Phua: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

A monster flop landed for Phua when the dealer spread {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} out on the board, giving Phua a straight. The {6-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn and Heath was drawing to just a chop. A {j-Diamonds} completed the board and Phua scooped in the pot with his broadway, eliminating Heath from the tournament in third place for a respectable £1,350,000.

Sam Greenwood moved all in for 1,675,000 from the small blind with {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Wai Kin Yong called in the big blind with his {j-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Sam Greenwood: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Wai King Yong: {j-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, not helping Greenwood. A {k-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn and Greenwood needed to hit on the river or his tournament was finished.

A {7-Diamonds} missed Greenwood and Yong took down the pot with his two pair, eliminating the Canadian from the tournament in fifth.
