Greenwood Keeps Piling Chips

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Elton Tsang started the action off with a raise to 32,000 from the cutoff with {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Mike Watson held {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and called on the button. Sam Greenwood looked down at {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and decided to squeeze, three-betting to 110,000.

Tsang let go of his and Watson called the extra 78,000. The dealer fanned out {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Greenwood took the lead with his pair of sevens. Greenwood led out for 60,000 and Watson respectively declined, sending another pot to Greenwood's already healthy stack.

Kuznetsov Ships Foxen Out of the Main

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Timofey Kuznetsov
Timofey Kuznetsov

Timofey Kuznetsov opened with a pair of tens and Alex Foxen moved all in with his big slick, Kuznetsov called and the two would be flipping.

Alex Foxen: {a-}{k-}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Kuznetsov took a commanding lead. A {2-Diamonds} on the turn left Foxen drawing to a jack to take down the pot but the {7-Diamonds} river was not that and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Liang Xu
Liang Xu

Liang Xu opened to 30,000 with {5-Spades}{4-Spades} from the hijack and Paul Phua called on the button, holding {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Peter Jetten defended his big blind with {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and the dealer spread out {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} on the flop.

Action checked to Xu, he bet 34,000 and only Jetten called to see the {2-Diamonds} turn card. Jetten checked to Xu who bet 78,000 with his turned straight. Jetten called and a {j-Diamonds} completed the board.

Action checked to Xu again and he bet 285,000. Jetten used two time extension cards en route to folding his hand and Xu took down the pot without having to show.

Putra Misses All the Outs

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ferdinand Putra moved all in for 217,000 from the button with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and Wai Kin Yong woke up with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} in the big blind.

The cards fell {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and despite Putra picking up plenty of outs on the flop with the flush and straight draws, the board bricked for him, and he was sent to the rail.

Foxen Takes Another from Zhang

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Michael Chi Zhang opened to 25,000 from under the gun, Alex Foxen defended his big blind and the flop came down {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Foxen check-called a bet of 15,000 from Zhang and a {3-Hearts} came on the turn.

Foxen again checked and again Zhang bet, this time for 29,000. Foxen called to see the {2-Spades} river card and both players checked to showdown. Foxen tabled {k-Spades}{7-Clubs} for kings of fours and Zhang quickly mucked, sending the pot to Foxen.
