Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Bubble Boy Igor Kurganov
Bubble Boy Igor Kurganov

Igor Kurganov was all in for 70,000 while in the big blind, with Vivek Rajkumar having raised to 225,000 from the hijack with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Kurganov held {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and needed to improve to avoid elimination.

The {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop didn't see Kurganov take the lead, but did increase his outs to the straight draw.

The {10-Spades} turn was a safe card for Rajkumar and Kurganov watched on as the {3-Clubs} river sealed his fate.

Kurganov was eliminated on the money-bubble in 12th place, meaning the remaining 11 players were guaranteed a minimum cash worth £1,100,000.

The players will now go on a short break before the action resumes.

Perkins Doubles Through Kurganov on the Bubble

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins

Igor Kurganov opened to 1,300,000 from the hijack and Bill Perkins called all in for 1,155,000. The two tabled their hands and the start of the day chipleader was at risk of elimination.

Bill Perkins: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Igor Kurganov: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came down {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Perkins took a commanding lead with his set of jacks. The dealer burned and turned one of the best cards in the deck for Kurganov as the {9-Spades} hit the felt.

The crowd lit up with excitement as Kurganov now had a lot of outs to knock Perkins out on the bubble. Unfortunately for Kurganov, the {2-Hearts} landed as a river card. Perkins scooped in the pot for a complete double, leaving Kurganov with crumbs.

Vogelsang Eliminated by Chidwick

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Timothy Adams raised to 275,000 from early position with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Christoph Vogelsang moved all in for 1,670,000 from the small blind with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Stephen Chidwick looked down at {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} in the big blind and asked for a count before he moved all in for 6,000,000. Adams quickly folded, and the cards were turned on their backs.

Chidwick held the significant advantage and kept his lead despite Vogelsang pairing his jack on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. The {4-Spades} turn and {k-Clubs} river were no help to the German player, and he departed from the Triton stage.

The action will now be hand-for-hand with 12 players remaining and 11 places paid.

Petrangelo Eliminated by Rajkumar

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

On a {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, Chin Wei Lim checked from the big blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Nick Petrangelo bet 250,000 with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} from early position and Vivek Rajkumar raised to 650,000 from the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Petrangelo had 2,300,000 behind and thought for 30 seconds before he moved all in. Rajkumar snap-called and they were in a race, with Petrangelo needing to dodge the aces and diamonds to stay ahead.

The {k-Diamonds} appeared on the turn to give Rajkumar the nut flush, leaving Petrangelo in need of a jack or deuce to survive. The river was the {6-Spades} instead and Petrangelo had to depart just shy of the money.

Rajkumar picked up the pot and improved his stack to a massive 14.3 million, making him the overwhelming chip leader with the seven-figure money bubble approaching.

Chidwick Calls Zang Down

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Aaron Zang opened to 160,000 from under the gun, Stephen Chidwick called on the button and the dealer spread out {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} on the flop.

Zang checked to Chidwick, he bet 150,000 and Zang check-raised to 750,000. Chidwick thought about his decision and in the end, he called the raise.

A {4-Spades} came down on the turn and both players checked to the {k-Clubs} river card. Both players again checked and Zang tabled {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for ace-high. Chidwick showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines, taking down the pot from Zang.
