Seven years ago, Chris Frank won a maiden bracelet aged just 22. In his winner's interview, he told PokerNews that he'd "always dreamt of winning something big."
Well, something big just got a whole lot bigger with a $2 million payday after defeating Dylan Weisman heads-up and taking down the Triton Montenegro $100,000 PLO Main Event.
The pair agreed to a heads-up deal, with Frank holding a commanding chip lead, which saw both players record the biggest live tournament scores of their careers. They fought on for the extra $70,000 and title, with Frank emerging victorious.

The final table of seven was led by Laszlo Bujtas ahead of Frank, with Ben Tollerene bringing up the rear with just ten big blinds. He lost out to Danny Tang early on and was eliminated.
Tang was next to be eliminated, ousted by Bujtas, but sixth place was not for nothing. The result—combined with other Triton results—meant that he locked up the Ivan Leow Player of the Year award after a stellar year. He took home $495,000 for his sixth place.
The elimination of Tang saw Bujtas return to the top of the chip counts but wasn't there for long. Frank sent Portugal's Tomas Ribeiro to the rail, holding K♣Q♣10♦6♦ against Ribeiro's A♠A♥K♦Q♥. The pair got it in on 8♥9♦3♣, but the J♥ turn gave Frank a straight to eliminate his opponent.
Frank now surged ahead, holding almost double the rest of the table combined. He soon knocked out PLO regular Eelis Parssinen to hold 80% of the chips in play three-handed.
Both Bujtas and Weisman were wary of each other, but eventually, the Hungarian lost out, finishing third for $982,000. The two remaining players agreed to an ICM deal, playing on for $70,000, as well as the trophy and exclusive Jacob & Co watch.
But Frank had things under control. He rivered a full house with K♣K♦J♠6♠ on Q♣9♣4♣4♦K♥ and got all but one of the big blinds in Weisman's stack after the American showed J♥10♦7♣2♦ for a rivered straight. The last blind also went the way of Frank, and he picked up the largest score of his career.
