Halim Plays Hero

Harry Halim raised to 12,000 under the gun. Anton Danilov tossed in a three-bet worth 36,000 from the cutoff, and Halim flicked in calling chips.

Danilov continued for 20,000 on the 5♠K♥5♥ flop, which Halim check-called. The Q♠ turn was then checked by both players, after which the K♣ river completed the board.

Halim checked again, but Danilov re-engaged with an all-in bet, putting his stack of 162,000 at risk. Halim tanked for a short while, then called with the covering stack.

Danilov immediately stood up as he showed 10♦9♦ for a bluff. Halim had called with 6♠6♦, and his pocket pair earned him the sizable pot.
