Talbot Eliminated Before the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

After losing a big portion of his stack previously, Parker Talbot defended the big blind against an under-the-gun raise by Alexios Zervos. He then jammed the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop for very few blinds and Zervos called.

Parker Talbot: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Alexios Zervos: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The {j-Spades} turn improved Zervos and the {9-Clubs} river sealed Talbot's fate. "When you run bad, you run bad," another player at the table remarked.

Lee Among the Next Casualties

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Another table broke inside the first 60 minutes as three players bowed out in quick succession.

Among them was Jason Lee, who three-bet jammed on the button for 36,500 and was called by the initial raiser Sam Grafton.

Jason Lee: {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Sam Grafton: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop left Lee in need of running cards and he got one of them on the {j-Diamonds} turn. However, the {8-Hearts} river was a blank and Grafton raked in the pot.

Chiang Soars Above Half a Million

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jen-Yue Chiang
Jen-Yue Chiang

As the all-in confrontations keep on coming, the first player leaped above half a million in chips and it is Jen-Yue Chiang who sits behind a large tower of chips. The latest showdown was a preflop all-in in which he was up against Tal Afek.

Tal Afek: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Jen-Yue Chiang: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} runout brought no help to Afek and he joined the early casualties on Day 2.

Day 2 of the 2022 UKIPT London £1,100 Main Event Starts at Noon

Tournament Room
Tournament Room

The 2022 PokerStars UKIPT London £1,100 Main Event recommences at noon local time with 128 players out of 645 entries remaining. It won't be far until the money bubble as the top 95 finishers will receive a portion of the £619,200 prize pool, which should make for an exciting opening stage of the marquee event in the Hippodrome Casino in the heart of London.

Leading the field into Day 2 is Day 1a chip leader Ben Slack with 479,500, followed by Alberto Speranzoni (465,000) and Alexios Zervos (425,000). More than one dozen contenders have more than 100 big blinds at their disposal for the first level of the day and that also includes the two former WSOP Main Event finalists Antoine Labat and Antoine Saout, who reside in 6th and 7th place respectively.

Four PokerStars ambassadors and two staff members have reached the penultimate day spearheaded by Parker Talbot (198,000) and Sam Grafton (193,000). Steve Enriquez made it through via the last chance turbo heat with 113,500 while Benjamin Spragg advanced from Day 1b with a stack of 104,500. PokerStars Senior Twitch & Ambassadors Associate Brandon Nguyen (91,000) and Ido Alon (87,500) round up the line-up of half a dozen red spade representatives.

The action will recommence with blinds of 1,500-3,000 and a big blind ante of 3,000. All levels as of Day 2 and until the conclusion of the tournaments are 60 minutes long and there will be a break every two levels. It appears that at least ten levels will be played with the aim of reaching the nine-handed final table.

It will be another busy day at the former theatre near Leicester Square as a Mystery Bounty will certainly attract a large crowd. Stay tuned for all the action from London as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish.
