Slack Beats Zervos in Showdown

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Three ways to the {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} turn, Ben Slack checked in the small blind and Antoine Saout bet 70,000 out of the big blind. Alexios Zervos called on the button for Slack to check-raise to 205,000 in total. Saout folded and Zervos tossed in calling chips after short consideration.

The {8-Clubs} river was checked and Slack won the pot with the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Paul Trotter Eliminated in 18th Place (£4,477)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Paul Trotter
Paul Trotter

The action commenced with an open raise by Lorenc Boci and Paul Trotter then shipped it in for the 290,000 he had behind from two seats over. Boci went into the tank for one and a half minutes and then made the call.

Paul Trotter: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Lorenc Boci: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The kicker played a pivotal role on the {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board to end Trotter's run in 18th place. He collects £4,477 for the efforts and all remaining 17 players will aim to play another 50 minutes until bagging and tagging for the night.

Zeligman Doubles Through Boulton

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Short-handed play saw the stack of Alexander Zeligman reduced significantly and he then defended the big blind against an open raise by Joshua Boulton. The {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop brought the last 180,000 of Zeligman into the middle and Boulton looked him up.

Alexander Zeligman: {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Joshua Boulton: {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The top pair for Zeligman held up thanks to the {9-Spades} turn and {a-Hearts} river, shipping the double over to the table short stack.

Sitbon Chips Up Against Boci

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Julien Sitbon had raised from under the gun to get called by Lorenc Boci. Only a small pot emerged until the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} river on which Boci opted to lead for 160,000.

Sitbon mulled over his decision for a bit and mentioned "I don't like this, I really don't like this." Some ten seconds later he made the call and Boci revealed the {a-Spades}{8-Spades}. Sitbon had that beat with the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a full house to rake in the pot and further climb on the leaderboard.

Alexander Zeligman Eliminated in 17th Place (£5,146)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Alexander Zeligman
Alexander Zeligman

Alexander Zeligman slow-played a big hand and that back-fired in a big way. With just a medium-sized pot to the {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} river, he checked and then snap-called a bet worth 330,000 by Joshua Boulton. The latter tabled the {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush and Zeligman mucked the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for aces and sixes.

One hand later, James Rann raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Dongze Hao called on the button, Zeligman called all-in out of the small blind for 35,000.

Rann led the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop for 60,000 and Hao called. The {q-Diamonds} turn and {a-Diamonds} river were checked and Rann turned over {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a straight. Zeligman was ousted with the {5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Hao's {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} were exposed only briefly.

The remaining 16 players will now redraw to the final two tables and some 26 minutes remain at the current blinds.

Saout Loses Some to Zervos; Gets Most Back

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Antoine Saout raised the cutoff and Alexios Zervos defended the small blind. Once they headed to the {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop, Zervos check-raised a bet of 80,000 by Saout, the Frenchman folded and was shown the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} by Zervos.

Lukas Dimsa then raised to 50,000 and Saout flat-called. They headed to the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop on which Dimsa bet-folded to a raise by Saout.

Boulton Leads The Way; Spragg Gets a Shove Through

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ben Spragg
Ben Spragg

Lukas Dimsa defended the big blind against the open raise by Julien Sitbon and checked the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Sitbon continued for 45,000 and Dimsa check-raised to 175,000 for Sitbon to fold.

Antoine Saout then made it 50,000 to go and Benjamin Spragg ripped it in from the button for 430,000. Lorenc Boci in the big blind seemed interested and asked for a count but folded. Saout came to the same conclusion as Spragg chipped up some without showdown.

Over on the other table, Joshua Boulton has leaped into the lead by some margin. In a large pot against fellow big stack Dongze Hao, he called a three-bet and then check-called twice before checking the {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} the river. Hao checked behind and Boulton tabled the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair to claim the pot.

Even More for Boulton Without Showdown

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ben Slack was the initial raiser from under the gun to earn calls from Joshua Boulton on the button and Dongze Hao in the big blind. There was no action on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {a-Hearts} followed on the turn. Hao checked and Slack now bet 75,000 for his two opponents to call.

The {4-Spades} river completed the board and the action now checked to Boulton. He made it 175,000 to go and two folds later, cemented his status as the chip leader.
