Simmons Knocks Out Jennings

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Jennings
Alex Jennings

After the previous table broke, Alex Jennings was moved and ended up in the big blind shortly after with a stack of around 120,000. He faced an open raise by Raul Lozano and the button three-bet by Paul Simmons to rip it in, forcing a fold from Lozano. Simmons only then realized how few chips Jennings had left and called.

Alex Jennings: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Paul Simmons: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Simmons the top pair and flush draw. No magic followed for Jennings as the board completed with the {4-Spades} turn and {6-Clubs} river. While the hand played out, Richard Essex also ran out of chips on a different table.

Sidhu Sends Lalor to the Rail

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Joseph Lalor
Joseph Lalor

The cards of Joseph Lalor were already in the muck while Kully Sidhu raked in the pot with his cards and the board still showing.

According to Joshua Boulton, Sidhu had raised and then fired three barrels including a shove on the {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} river. Lalor called with {a-}{j-} but the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair by Sidhu ended up as the winning hand.

Duta Not Done Yet; Spraggy on the Rise

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ben Spragg
Ben Spragg

Florian Duta may have to keep track of his all-in showdowns a little bit longer as he once more got it in preflop and prevailed.

This time, the Romanian was at risk for 203,000 with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} of Mauricio Ferreira Pais. The {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board locked up the double with jacks full on the turn already.

At nearly the same time, Tim Slater was spotted on the payout desk. A quick look at his former table revealed a far bigger stack for Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg. According to several players at the table, Spragg had defended the big blind with a king-seven and flopped two pair. They got it in after the {k-}{9-}{7-}{5-} turn and Slater's {k-}{10-} couldn't catch up anymore.

Wang's Tournament Ends Eventually

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The last few orbits weren't as kind to Alex Whitenstall but he bounced back some by knocking out table short stack Lei Wang for the last five big blinds.

The {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board gave both players a straight but Wang's {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} was no good as Whitenstall had a jack.

Doshi Gets a Shove Through; Didenka Doubles Through Hasson

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

James Rann opened to 20,000 and Nikolay Ponomarev three-bet to 60,000 from one seat over. Paresh Doshi then four-bet jammed for 254,000 in the small blind and Rann quickly folded. Ponomarev asked for a count and let go as well.

In the next hand, Ori Hasson pushed from the small blind and Liudas Didenka called all-in from the big blind for 169,000.

Liudas Didenka: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Ori Hasson: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds} river delivered the help on the river.

Three Down in a Minute

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Within literally 30 seconds, three players departed from three different tables and that reduced the field to the final five tables.

Jen-Yue Chiang got it in with the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and faced Rickie Vedhara with the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}. The suited king got there on the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board and Chiang was the first to bust.

Damien Pilkington-Lewis then three-bet jammed a short stack with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Joshua Boulton called with the {k-Spades}{9-Spades} and got there on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} runout.

Last but not least, Masoud Etemadiherisi was dominated with the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} as Sorin Pruteanu turned over the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board brought no help to the dominated pair as Etemadiherisi departed in 41st place.

Barakat Busts to Boci

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Youness Barakat
Youness Barakat

Youness Barakat had bet-folded to a shove by Raymond Caabay only a few minutes ago and was then involved in heads-up action against Lorenc Boci, who had become one of the chip leaders on the table.

The {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop got the chips in between the two of them with Barakat having some 260,000 behind.

Youness Barakat: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Lorenc Boci: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The naked flush draw missed on the {4-Clubs} turn and {9-Diamonds} river to eliminate Barakat in 40th place.

Ponomarev From Hero to Zero

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alexios Zervos
Alexios Zervos

Heads-up to the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop the fireworks kicked off between Nikolay Ponomarev and Rickie Vedhara with the latter ending up at risk for more than 400,000.

Rickie Vedhara: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Nikolay Ponomarev: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

The {7-Clubs} turn changed nothing and the {7-Diamonds} river paired up Vedhara to score a massive double.

Ponomarev had some 70,000 left and got those in as Vedhara jammed from on seat over. Alexios Zervos came along with the second biggest stack of the trio involved for 271,000 behind.

Nikolay Ponomarev: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Rickie Vedhara: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Alexios Zervos: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The next large pot ran out in favour of Zervos on the {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} board as Ponomarev was knocked out in 39th place.

Kumar Falls to Hecklen; Hasson Bad Beats Clark

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ori Hasson
Ori Hasson

The cards were already on their backs when Gaurav Kumar was the player at risk but ahead with {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Table captain Henrik Hecklen held the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} which found a flush draw on the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop. The flush arrived on the {3-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Hearts} river spelled the end for Kumar in 38th place.

There was one more all-in showdown prior to the dinner break when Ori Hasson was all-in for 268,000 and dominated by Jonathan Clark.

Ori Hasson: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Jonathan Clark: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board delivered the suckout on the river and Hasson joked "what can I do, I am a fish."
