Spragg Rises; Xu and Game Fall

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Steven Game
Steven Game

Steven Game was the first casualty right after the dinner break. He was at risk with {j-Spades}{10-Spades} against the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Kully Sidhu, who flopped best on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board.

Hongting Xu followed moments later. Benjamin Spragg was involved as the open raiser and Xu jammed the small blind. Alex Whitenstall called in the big blind and folded to Spragg's isolation-shove.

Hongting Xu: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Benjamin Spragg: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board kept jacks in the lead and Xu was the next to bow out.

Duta Eliminated by Ferreira Pais

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Antoine Saout had won a bigger pot off Mauricio Ferreira Pais before and after the dinner break. Up next, Ferreira Pais raised and received one call before Florian Duta shoved for 337,000 out of the blinds. Ferreira Pais went over the top and forced out Gary Solomons.

Florian Duta: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Mauricio Ferreira Pais: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board missed both players and Duta had to settle for 35th place.

Clark and Lozano Double

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jonathan Clark was all-in for a short stack of just 135,000 with the {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and his previous nemesis Ori Hasson looked him up with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}. The {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Clark a full house, which held on the {4-Hearts} turn and {10-Spades} river.

Ben Slack then raised to 25,000 and Raul Lozano jammed it in for just un der 170,000. Naaman Morris also pushed with more chips from one seat over and Slack eventually folded.

Raul Lozano: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Naaman Morris: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board gave Lozano the winning flush and Morris was left short.

Morris Flipped Out by Sitbon

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action started with a raise to 25,000 by Julien Sitbon and Naaman Morris moved all-in for 108,000 in the small blind. Alberto Speranzoni gave it some thought in the big blind and folded, Sitbon called.

Naaman Morris: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Julien Sitbon: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

On a board of {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}, the mighty pair was counterfeited and Morris became the next casualty.

Hall's Kicker Problem Cannot Be Solved

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Tom Hall
Tom Hall

Yet another preflop contest brought the near even stacks of Tom Hall and Sorin Pruteanu in the middle and Hall was the player at risk for around 330,000.

Tom Hall: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Sorin Pruteanu: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The kicker problem for Hall turned out to be crucial as the board ran out {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} to end his run in 33rd place.

Speranzoni Felts Eminoglu

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Yucel Eminoglu
Yucel Eminoglu

Following an open raise by Alberto Speranzoni, it was the table short stack Yucel Eminoglu who three-bet jammed for 106,000 out of the small blind and Speranzoni instantly called.

Yucel Eminoglu: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Alberto Speranzoni: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The "Mad Turk" asked for plenty of high cards but the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Speranzoni a set. However, the {10-Spades} turn provided a huge double draw. The escape was not meant to be as a blank {a-Clubs} river followed to knock Eminoglu out in 32nd place.

Simmons Falls to Zeligman

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alexander Zeligman opened the action with a cutoff raise to 25,000 and he then called a shove by Paul Simmons from the small blind for what appeared to be 176,000.

Paul Simmons: {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Alexander Zeligman: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop all but sealed the fate of Simmons, who then spiked some outs on the {2-Hearts} turn with the wheel draw. What followed was the {8-Spades} river and the field was reduced to the final 30 hopefuls.

Sidhu Buils Stack With Aggression

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The initial madness after the return from the dinner break has somewhat slowed down and Kully Sidhu appears to be in the zone. He just faced an open raise to 25,000 by Dongze Hao and the call of Joshua Boulton. Sidhu then clicked it up to 85,000 and forced two quick folds.

Boulton Hassles Hecklen

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Henrik Hecklen opened to 25,000 and then called a three-bet to 80,000 by Joshua Boulton. On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Hecklen checked and subsequently called a bet worth 65,000 by Boulton.

They headed to the {a-Spades} turn on which Hecklen checked once more. Boulton now bet 105,000 and that was enough to win the pot uncontested.
