Start of Day 2 chip leader Dexter Turnbull was also eliminated late in the day in 12th (£7,120) as he turned a set of jacks, only for Michael Howard to river the nut flush to leave him with one big blind which he couldn't spin up.

PokerStars Team Pros Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg and Mason Pye both came into the day short hoping to spin it up. However they were both eliminated early in the day.

The final table will commence from 12 p.m. local time on Sunday 31st July with 60-minute levels with the blinds starting at 40,000/80,000 with a 80,000 big blind ante.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as all the action will be covered until a new UKIPT Nottingham Main Event champion is crowned for the first time since 2015.

Daniel Gormley raised to 100,000 on the cutoff before Robbie Bull moved all in for around 1,000,000. Gormley snap called.

Robbie Bull: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Daniel Gormley: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Bull was all in and at risk and well behind. The flop didn't give much hope as it came {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Bull said "That'll do it" as he stood up. He was drawing dead on the {3-Clubs} turn and the river was the {2-Hearts} which ensured that he was eliminated in 11th place as he shook the hands of his fellow competitors.

The pot left Turnbull with only 30,000 chips and he was eliminated the very next hand as he went all in from under the gun where his {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} lost to his opponents {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} on the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} board. The start of day chip leader left the tournament area having locked up just over £7,000.

Clarke's Kings Crack Sakallioglu's Aces to Send Him Home

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Philip Clarke
Philip Clarke

Jonathan McCann raised to 35,000 from under the gun and was three-bet by Ali Sakallioglu in early position to 85,000. Philip "Diavolo" Clarke was in middle position and cold four-bet to 225,000.

Action folded back to Sakallioglu who five-bet all in for 590,000. Clarke quickly called covering Sakallioglue.

Ali Sakallioglu: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Phillip "Diavolo" Clarke: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a cooler with Sakallioglu's pocket aces dominating Clarke's pocket kings. However the king immediately came in the window as the flop came {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Sakallioglue stood up in disbelief as he was ready to exit the tournament. He needed an ace and only an ace but it didn't come as he was sent to the rails when the turn came the {3-Diamonds} and the river the {6-Spades}.

Clarke smirked as he raked in the chips in his direction becoming one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Calogero Morreale was in the small blind and checked to Alberto Speranzoni in middle position. Speranzoni bet 70,000 before Morreale raised all in for 320,000 effective.

Speranzoni would have to call for his tournament life. The Italian went into the tank before deciding to pick a better spot as he threw his cards into the muck.
