Welcome to Day 1a of the PokerStars £1,100 UKIPT London Main Event

The PokerStars UKIPT is back in London, this year running at the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square. The Main Event kicks off with Day 1a, the first of three starting flights, starting at 2 p.m. local time.

Players will start the tournament with a stack of 30,000 chips. Blind levels will run for 40 minutes and start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.

A maximum of three entries per flight will be allowed, with late registration open until the end of Level 10. Day 1a will play down to 15 percent of the field, who will all make it through to Day 2 and into the money.

Martin Jacobson is the reigning UKIPT London Main Event champion. He came first in 2022 to earn himself £232,300 from the £1,399,680 prize pool. More recently, PokerStars Team Pro player Benjamin Spragg finished first in the 2023 UKIPT Brighton Main Event, earning his first series title and £69,120.

The UKIPT London Main Event runs until Sunday night, at which point a new champion will be crowned.

Action folded around to Alexandre Vuilleumier, who raised to 500 from the button. Barny Boatman moved all in from the big blind for 5,000 chips. Vuilleumier made the call and players flipped their cards.
