Moolhuizen in Action

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Kimi Heiskanen opened to 300 from under the gun and was called by Mateusz Moolhuizen in the small blind as well as the player in the big blind. The Finn continued for 700 on a flop of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and was check-called by both his opponents before Moolhuizen fired 1,200 on the {3-Hearts} turn.

Only Heiskanen made the call before folding the {Q-Spades} river to a bet of 3,000 by the Dutchman.

English Only!

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

UnibetPoker.fr Ambassador Pierre Menes joked to staff nearby that the dealer was talking in English while chatting with table neighbor Julien Sitbon in French just before the next hand kicked off. Then, a raise to 250 was called by three players including Damian Porebski, Menes and Sitbon.

The {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop was checked to Porebski and he won it with a bet of 600. Menes called over tournament director John Scanlon and they joked over the English and French chatter to share some laughs.

An A for Effort

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

With the board reading {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}, the action was checked to Fabian Stache and the Belgian tried to steal the pot worth 4,000 chips with a bet of 3,700. Hampus Rosdalen gave it some thought and eventually made the call with his {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} after a flopped set found an unusual runout with a straight on the board.

Stache's steal attempt with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} was caught but the Belgian is still up early on.

Luttke Shows Aces

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Gregory Luttke opened to 550 and was called by Julien Sitbon from two seats over as well as Mats Jungsand in the big blind to set up a three-way flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The action was checked through and only Jungsand check-called a bet of 1,075 on the {J-Spades} turn before the Frenchman's bet on the {Q-Diamonds} river won the pot without showdown.

Luttke still turned over the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} even though he didn't have to and moved back to just under starting stack, Pierre Menes has the biggest stack on that table with around 35,000.

Kylevik Early Chip Leader

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

There haven't been many big pots yet and the middle-sized ones typically ended with a bet and fold on the river. In fact the very same applied to the situation just now as well, only the pot-size stood out by far to bump Steffen Kylevik above twice the starting stack.

Kylevik had raised to 525 and called the three-bet of Gael Dirig from one seat over to 1,500. The Norwegian check-raised the {10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop from 2,000 to 5,000 and was called before leading the {4-Diamonds} on the turn for 8,000. Dirig called and had about 15,000 behind to see the Norwegian jam the {6-Hearts} river.

Dirig let out a huge sigh and mucked the cards.

Good Start for Moolhuizen

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Mateusz Moolhuizen is up to 40,000 chips and the biggest pot came off a hand that saw the Dutchman raise from under the gun and the opponent in the big blind called. According to Moolhuizen, the flop fell {A-}{9-}{7-} with two diamonds and his continuation bet worth 750 was check-called.

History repeated itself on the {K-} turn for 2,000 before the {4-Diamonds} river was checked by the player in the big blind. Moolhuizen fired 4,500 and was called to reveal a set of nines, his opponent flashed {A-}{7-} for two pair.

Stache Losing Some

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a four-way flop of {J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Spades}, Fabian Stache faced three opponents and decided to bet 1,350. The dealer announced the bet in English and the French player in seat three complained about this before receiving the info in his native language. He called and the other two players mucked.

Stache bet the {2-Diamonds} turn for 1,675 and immediately announced the amount in French with a smile in the face, receiving a snap-call. Then, the dealer burned and turned the {4-Spades} river and Stache checked behind with a king to see his opponent shake his head and flashing the {J-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush, seemingly unhappy to not have gotten any chips on the river anymore.

Spalldi First Casualty

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Suddenly the screens showed 181 out of 182 players left and the first casualty of the day happened at one of the corner tables next to the feature table. A quick glance over the stacks showed Kanstantsin Kamenka with almost double the starting stack and the few details we could gather revealed that the Belorussian benefited from a flush over flush setup with the ace-high flush.
