Catching Up With the Feature Table

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Roman Sydorenko was over on the feature table with a rather short stack and had a premium hand in ace-king given such a scenario. However, he didn't get it in preflop but just on the turn of an ace-high board. Markus Heikkils held the {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for flopped two pair and the river brought another ace to send Sydorenko packing.

The live stream is on a delay of 30 minutes, thus it only now aired.

No Naalden Anymore

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The short stack grind has come to an end. About 10 minutes ago, Marc Naalden had claimed the blinds and antes with a raise to 2,100 but now the Dutchman came off the wrong end of a coin flip. He reshoved with {A-}{K-} into the pocket threes of an opponent and the latter immediately spiked a three to shut down all hopes of a comeback.

Wubkes Finds Chips

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Peter Jesko moved all in for his last 5,600 chips and Dian Wubkes called from two seats over with Eric Rapp coming along from one seat over, the players in the blinds folded.

On the {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop, Wubkes shoved for her last 12,400 and was snap-called by Rapp with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for top pair and top kicker. Wubkes however had the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set, Jesko shook his head while flipping over the {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}. It was all ovr after the {J-Diamonds} turn and Wubkes more than doubled up back above starting stack after a meaningless {7-Hearts} river.

Poker Versus Basketball

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Quentin Lecomte was standing next to our media desk, not because he is out but the Frenchman was watching the basketball match France versus Spain in the last two minutes of the clash at the European Championships. France was down by three points and took a time out with 16 seconds to go, Lecomte went back to his table.

Roller Coasting

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Frank van Honk was a bigger stack for most of the day but that changed over the past hour or so, eventually getting the last of it in with pocket jacks versus pocket aces. The Dutchman found no help and has been eliminated, same also applied for Krzysztof Stuchlik from Poland.

And then there is the roller coaster of a day from Mateusz Moolhuizen. Half an hour ago he made quite some chips with {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} after flopping top pair with the worse kicker and finding his ten on the very last community card. That profit has since vanished, in the last hand he ran into {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and a flopped set but fortunately checked behind twice to minimize the loss.

Prusov Cannot Dodge it Again

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Down to only 12,300 chips, Unibet qualifier Dmitrii Prusov shoved all in and was called by George McDonald from one seat over. Everyone else folded and the Brit then quietly turned over his {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} while Prusov was at risk with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. It was all over after the turn of a {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board.

Queens for Harkes

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Peter Harkes called a raise to 2,500 from the hijack seat and found one further caller behind to see a three-way flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. The action was checked to Harkes who made it 4,500 to go and was called only by the initial raiser to see the {6-Spades} appear on the turn.

Again the Dutchman received a check-call, this time for 11,000, before the {A-Hearts} killed off all remaining action. The opponent flashed his {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} as first after the button and Harkes scooped the pot with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

Bluff on the Feature Table

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Szilard Sas opened the action and then called the three-bet of Markus Heikkils for 8,000 total. The Swede was sitting in the big blind with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and continued with a bet of 11,200 on the {10-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop with Sas coming along. Both players checked the {A-Clubs} turn and the dealer then burned and turned the {9-Clubs} as final community card.

Heikkils checked and Sas took the initiative to bluff it with a bet of 18,200, holding the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for third pair only. The move went through and Sas moved up to six digits.

Nagell Nails It

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Sebastien Grax
Sebastien Grax

In a big preflop clash over on table three, Christer Nagell and Daniel Vittikko were at it. The battle of Scandinavia went towards Nagell with the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} as Vittikko held {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and found no help on a board of {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{X-}.

Also out: Sebastien Grax, who was up to three times the starting stack after only two levels of play.
