Petrascu's Kings Hold

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Peter La Terra and Andrii Ratushnyi failed to double up and have been sent to the rail. Bogdan Petru Petrascu was more fortunate after three-bet shoving for 49,300 with the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and receiving a call from initial raiser Matyas Csiszar. The Hungarian held {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} but failed to deal the final blow on a board of {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Msika Busts to Lecomte

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Quentin Lecomte
Quentin Lecomte

A day full of notables just saw Quentin Lecomte scoop a big pot to move up to almost a quarter million in chips. Richard Msika had raised to 7,500 and was called by Lecomte on the button to see a flop of {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. A continuation bet worth 20,000 was called by the Frenchman and Msika then shoved his last 70,000 on the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Lecomte called with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and had the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} of Msika crushed. To make the beat even worse, Lecomte even scored the {10-Clubs} river for quads ... . "C'est dur ta vie" said start-of-the-day chip leader Julien Sitbon. "You have a tough life," coming from a guy with 350,000 chips. ;)

Breaking Another Table

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

A couple of players have joined the rail, thus creating the need to break yet another table early today and 13 players have been eliminated within the first 45 minutes. The most spectacular one happened over on table 12 where Ronald Steinmetz and Mats Jungsand saw the {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} turn with around 45,000 in the pot.

Steinmetz shoved and Jungsand ended up hero-calling with the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} only to see his opponent turn over the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a turned set. The {Q-Clubs} river bricked and suddenly Steinmetz is one of the big stacks.

Take Them Back

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Jari Koskinen and Amran Salah were involved in a raising war and the Finn ended up all in for around 15 big blinds with the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Salah had {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and the Finn was freelolling on a board of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} before eventually settling with a chop. [Removed:361] Gillard, Tomas Brolin, Razvan Dumea and Jan Czajkowski were less fortunate and all busted.

Clifford Busts Ponelis

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Zymantas Ponelis was one of the bigger stacks coming into Day 2 but he just shoved for only 42,300 anymore and was called by Roman Steinmetz on the cutoff. The action reached to Daniel Clifford and he reshoved to receive a rather quick fold from Steinmetz.

Ponelis held {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} but stood no chance against the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} of the Swede on a board of {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, Steinmetz said in table chat that he folded ace-queen.

Moolhuizen Busts

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Only two former Unibet Open champions remain as Mateusz Moolhuizen lost a flip with pocket queens to the {A-}{K-} of Benjamin Westergaard. Apparently another player was also still in the hand with pocket sevens, but the Dane took it all thanks to a king on the flop.

Westergaard's Run Continues

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

Dennis Kleinleugemors was all in with a rather short stack after a flop of {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to receive a call from Benjamin Westergaard, who was just done stacking a new tower of chips after busting Mateusz Moolhuizen. The Dane had {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and a little roller coaster runout with the {A-Hearts} turn and {Q-Clubs} river gave Westergaard another bump in the overall counts.

Below is a list of further players that have also been running out of chips very recently.

Syc and Brown Gone

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Mateusz Syc
Mateusz Syc

Table one is somewhat hidden just behind the feature table that will start streaming after the next break and there was just a "seat open" announcement heard. Mateusz Syc left and gave us a quick rundown of what happened. The Pole had lost most of his chips and then three-bet shoved for 20 big blinds out of the big blind with the {A-}{5-}.

Initial raiser Gabriel Gusetoiu immediately looked him up with pocket queens and there was no help for Syc anymore. Next to the Romanian is Nicolay Langfeldt with even more chips. Alan Brown is also out as well.

Giantanko Gets Rivered

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

Anthony Giangrasso has been taking a lot during the first day and even on the feature table when facing tricky spots. Another of such situations just occurred with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}. There were about 70,000 in the pot and Viacheslav Igin made it 45,000 to go out of the big blind. Giangrasso tanked again for several minutes, stood up and studied the board.

The Frenchman eventually made the call and was shown the {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a backdoor straight.
