Chip Race-off

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Unibet Open London Day 2 Chips
Unibet Open London Day 2 Chips

During the break, dealers raced off the 500 denominated chips as blinds move up to 3,000/6,000 with a 1,000 ante. Additionally, the tournament director asked the dealers to update the chip counts for each player. We will update the top ten player stacks when this information is made available.

As far as the bubble goes, it is anyone's guess as far as how long it will take to break. There are a few short stacks, but it does not appear there are any players in serious danger of being blinded off within the couple of orbits.

Double-Up For Jan Kusters on the Bubble

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The bubble doesn't want to break with the tournament in hand for hand mode for almost 40 minutes.

A short while ago, a crowd gathered when Jan Kusters declared himself all-in for 114,000 chips on a {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} board after his opponent Tony Ringe led out for 30,000. The pot already had around 150,000 in the middle before the river.

While Ringe tanked, a player not in the hand called the clock to help speed things along. Ringe callled with 30 seconds remaining with {q-}{q-} which proved to be no match to Kusters' {8-}{8-} for a full house.

Bhavin Khatri Sucks Out to Avoid the Bubble

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mate Mecs opened to 15,000 chips, and Bhavin Khatri went over the top for his remaining 155,000 chip stack. Mecs called with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and it looked like Khatri might hit the rail as the bubble boy when he turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The crowd ooh'ed and ahh'ed when the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop gave Khatri a set and a lead in the hand. The {3-Clubs} on the turn gave Mecs some more outs with a potential club flush. Khatri avoided the bubble and won a big hand when the {j-Diamonds} did not improve his opponent's hand.

Christian Lohmann and Denis Malik Eliminated During Same Round on the Bubble

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After over an hour the money bubble finally broke. During hand for hand on table 7, Christian Lohmann got it all in preflop with {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and his opponent was visibly and audibly delighted that he was actually ahead turning over {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Lohmann was unable to improve and had to sit and wait for the action to unfold on table 8.

Denis Malik was all in with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} on a {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts} board. His opponent turned over {A-}{5-} for the straight.

Both Lohmann and Malik will split the 54th place prize of £1,650 and receive £825 each.
