Posada Keeps Owning

Earlier today we wrote about a hand Melissa Posada played where she called with ace-high and was good. Just now, we got word of two more hands worth writing down.

Pim de Goede got up from the table and told us he got straight out owned by Posada, and continued to give us details of what had happend in "One of the most bizarre hands I have ever played."

Posada limped in from the hijack and the cutoff over limped. De Goede, winner of amongst others a big EPT side event in Madrid a couple years ago, limped from the button with and the big blind checked. The flop came with a single spade and the big blind checked. Posada bet 500 and her neighbor raised to 1,000. De Goede called, the big blind folded, Posada tossed in another 500 chip to call.

A appeared on the turn and Posada checked to her neighbor. The cutoff bet 1,000 and De Goede called, as did Posada.

The river came another and action checked to De Goede. The Dutchman bet 5,000, which was around 80% of the pot, and Posada instantly raised to 10,000. The cutoff folded and De Goede said something like "What a bad luck I have" while showing his trips before mucking. Posada showed her off suit and the entire table started laughing.

Not much later, the two of them would clash again. Again Posada limped, this time from the cutoff. The button raised and from the small blind De Goede called. The big blind called as well, as did Posada to make it 4-handed to the flop.

On both De Goede and his neighbor checked. Posada lead out for 1,000 and the button raised to 2,800. De Goede called, the big blind folded, Posada called.
