Some Updated Counts

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Down to 75 in the Main Event; High Roller on the Bubble

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The €2,200 High Roller resumed with 15 players after their dinner break, and that number has since been reduced to 14 and the direct money bubble has been reached. Still in contention are Mateusz Moolhuizen, Dan Chisu, Dara O’Kearney (Unite ambassador), Eric Wasylenko, Dorin Rauta, Mihai Niste, Jason Gray, Katsuhiro Muto.

The stream can be watched on the Twitch channel of Unibet Poker.

In the meanwhile, several players busted in the Main Event to reduce that field to 75. Among them was Kristof Coenen, and Mayan Shih joined the rail soon after.

Lisii's Move Not Rewarded

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Serghei Lisii
Serghei Lisii

With 20,000 in the middle and the board showing {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, Serghei Lisii moved all in and was called by Carmine Venditti.

Serghei Lisii: {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Carmine Venditti: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The {A-Spades} river was the cherry on the cake, giving Venditti a full house and Lisii's move with a gutshot only went wrong to send the Russian to the rail.

Byrne and Nica Bust to von Zweigbergk

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Daiva Byrne
Daiva Byrne

Martin von Zweigbergk raised to 2,500 first to act and Adrian Nica shoved for around 20,000 in the small blind. Daiva Byrne reshoved out of the small blind for around 55,000 and von Zweigbergk called to set up the following three-bet showdown.

Adrian Nica: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Daiva Byrne: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Martin von Zweigbergk: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop was a sweat as Byrne picked up the better flush draw, but the {5-Clubs} turn and {10-Diamonds} river both blanked.

Grimaldi Folds to Third Barrel

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Lazar Tudor Bartha was the initial raiser and picked up a call by Pasquale Grimaldi. The latter check-called a bet of 3,100 on the {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and the another 7,500 on the {7-Hearts} turn. The {6-Spades} river completed the board and Grimaldi checked. Bartha bet 11,800 and that eventually forced a fold.

Bartha not only claimed the pot but also took over the lead on their table, edging past Bartlomiej Gorzolka.

Dinner Break on Day 1a

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The remaining 83 players have been sent on a 15-minute dinner break and assorted chip counts can be found below.

Machiach Doubles; Hladik Busts

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the flop of {K-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}, Ionut Zota moved all in and Michal Hladik called all in for his last 16,000 on the button with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Zota had the {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the {J-Diamonds} turn and {8-Diamonds} river were both blanks.

A few tables over, the flop showed {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Martin Magal bet 3,500 on the button. Bogdan Domnitanu called in the small blind and Josef Machiach check-raised all in for 38,800 from under the gun. Magal called and Domnitanu folded.

Josef Machiach: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Martin Magal: {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The {3-Spades} turn and {J-Spades} river were blanks and Machiach doubled. "I miss-clicked preflop and should have three-bet," Magal said in table chat.

Grigore Runs Out of Chips

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Samy Dubonnet raised to 2,100 first to act and short stack Adrian Grigore moved all in for 6,400. That got past big stack Pavao Veza, but Sergiu Cornea quickly moved all in out of the big blind to force a fold from Dubonnet.

Adrian Grigore: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Sergiu Cornea: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

There was no glimpse of hope for Grigore on the board of {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and he headed to the rail, where he was quickly joined by Olli Korhonen.
