Two Pocket Pairs Collide

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

After a raise to 1,400 by Razvan Cetanas, Cezar Oprea called and a third player in the hand three-bet to 4,200. Cetanas reraised and Oprea moved all in to force out the third player in the hand. Cetanas quickly called and the two best pocket pairs in No-Limit Hold'em crashed against each other.

Cezar Oprea: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Razvan Cetanas: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Oprea's stack of 35,000 was covered by Cetanas.

Eigminas Busts One

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Simonas Eigminas raised to 1,500 and Ionut-Alin Tambura raised to 4,200. Adrian-Costin Constantin moved in for his last 6,350 and both opponents called. The flop of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} was checked through and a bet of Eigminas on the {5-Hearts} turn forced a fold from Tambura.

Adrian-Costin Constantin: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Simonas Eigminas: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The {8-Hearts} river was a blank and Constantin bowed out.

Solyom Bests Nica

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Adrian Nica was the initial raiser from early position and picked up a caller in Nandor Solyom in late position. On the {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} turn, Nica bet 4,000 and Solyom called before both checked the {4-Spades} on the river. Nica reluctantly flipped over {J-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a bluff and Solyom had that beat with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for second pair.

Updated Counts

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

At the end of the previous level, Simonas Eigminas scooped a pot against Adrian-Costin Constantin. On the {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} turn, Eigminas check-called a bet of 3,500 by Constantin and checked again the {2-Clubs} river. Constantin was not filling to fire his last 6,000 and checked behind, then asked the Lithuanian if he had ace-ten.

Eigminas announced pocket queens and tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} as winning hand.

Assorted Casualties

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The cards were all but rushed away with pocket jacks still visible and Jonathan Bradley's {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} being dragged into the muck. The pocket jacks belonged to Marius Pertea, who is among the big stacks at the end of level four.

Venditti Takes from Yakimov

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Plamen Yakimov raised to 1,000 and Carmine Venditti three-bet on the button, which Cosmin Cimpeanu called in the big blind. Yakimov opted for the four-bet to 8,750 and Venditti called, Cimpeanu folded. The flop fell {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Yakimov bet 8,000, which Venditti called.

The {4-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river were both checked through and Yakimov turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for a bluff, while Venditti won the pot with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Solyom Forces Out von Zweigbergk

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Nandor Solyom raised from under the gun and picked up two callers in Martin von Zweigbergk on the button and the player in the big blind. The flop fell {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the big blind checked, while Solyom bet 2,800. That brought a call by von Zweigbergk only and the {5-Spades} turn paired the board.

Now Solyom bet 11,400 with 17,500 behind and von Zweigbergk folded after some consideration.
