Hjulstrom Grinds Up Stack

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Before the break Bartlomiej Gorzolka had doubled through Alexander Ioan with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} versus {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} when he flopped second pair and turned trips to hold against Ioan's open-ended straight draw.

Another player to run up his stack today is Linus Hjulstrom and the name may ring a bell. The Swede finished runner up to Quentin Lecomte in the 2013 Unibet Open Cannes Main Event and started with one of the bottom stacks today, but has since moved up considerably.

Baltateanu Busts Cornea

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The next two players to forfeit all their remaining chips were Cristian Tardea and Sergiu Cornea. The latter three-bet shoved out of the big blind with the {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and Silviu Baltateanu as initial raiser called with the {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. The board of {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} left Cornea drawing dead on the turn and Baltateanu celebrated the win as usual with very loud table talk in Romanian.

Iacob Bows Out

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Christopher Heidelbacher raised to 18,000 on the button and Iulian Iacob pushed for 69,000 out of the small blind, which Heidelbacher called.

Iulian Iacob: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Christopher Heidelbacher: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Iacob found no help to bow out in 52nd place.

Big Double for Cohen

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ionut Zota busted at the end of the previous level still while Ohana Shlomo chipped up massively. An even bigger pot played out on Shlomo's table just now, though.

On the flop of {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, a raising war between Avi Cohen and Razvan Cetanas ended up with the all in shove for 407,000 by Cohen and the call by Cetanas.

Avi Cohen: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Razvan Cetanas: {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The {8-Clubs} turn and {K-Diamonds} river completed the board and Cohen won the biggest pot of the tournament so far for a massive double.

Short stack Anton Markov doubled through Bogdan Ionescu with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} versus {K-Spades}{9-Spades} when the former shoved the cutoff and the latter called out of the big blind. A board of {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} ensured that the kicker played.

Double Knockout on the Feature Table

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The live stream has caught up on the delay of 30 minutes and revealed a three-way all in over on the feature table. Dor Lan raised to 14,000 and Andrei Pirlanescu shoved for 40,000, Veselin Petrov reshoved for 156,000 and Lan eventually called.

Andrei Pirlanescu: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Veselin Petrov: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Dor Lan: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and the jacks won it all for Lan, who sent both opponents to the rail.

Iacob Blows Up; Vogelsang Loses a Showdown

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Henrik Tellving scored a big double when calling the four-bet shove with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, Iulian Iacob only had {K-}{10-} and lost most of his stack.

Vlad Cojocariu was all in for 94,000 with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and chip leader Tom Vogelsang called with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The board came {K-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and the Romanian turned his ten to retake the lead and double with a full house.
