Susta With a Seven-Figure Stack After Eliminating Grimberg

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Vojtech Susta has been on fire since the break. Last break he had 180,000 in chips and he now has a massive seven-figure chip leading stack of 1,050,000.

Susta's stack was partially boosted thanks to recently eliminating Andrei Grimberg. Grimberg open-jammed for about 160,000 from early position and got a call by Susta from the button.

Andrei Grimberg: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Vojtech Susta: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Grimberg stood up after he saw his Susta's hand. He was eliminated in 48th place for €2,985 after he didn't improve on the {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts} board.

The remaining 47 players are all guaranteed a payout of €3,140.

Vinokurov Busts Hyper-Turbo Champion Locke

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Toby Locke won the hyper-turbo event two days ago, but he isn't adding the Main Event trophy to his collection after he just busted against Anton Vinokurov.

Both players had about 80,000 in there preflop and the flop came down {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Locke bet from the big blind and he pushed 55,000 over the line. Vinokurov raised to 125,000 and after only a couple of seconds, Locke moved all in for a bit over 300,000 in total. Vinokurov called and the cards went on their backs.

Toby Locke: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Anton Vinokurov: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out with the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Hearts} river and Locke wasn't able to improve and was eliminated from the tournament.

Espensen Flushes Out Popov's Aces

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Slaven Popov opened to 25,000 from the cutoff and got a call from Ronnie Espensen from the big blind.

Espensen open-jammed for 139,000 after the flop came {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Popov called.

Ronnie Espensen: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Slaven Popov: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

Espensen was drawing to a flush and got what he was looking for after the {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn. All he had to do now was fade another heart, which would give Popov a better flush, to stay alive in the tournament and double-up.

The {A-Clubs} completed the board on the river to give Popov a set. This wasn't good enough to beat a flush and Espensen doubled up.

Qualifier Van Dijk Eliminated

Noud van Dijk
Noud van Dijk

Adrian Ionescu opened the action with a raise and Noud van Dijk pushed his last 50,000 in the middle. Ionescu called and they were flipping.

Ionescu opened up ace-king and Van Dijk showed pocket jacks. The runout was in favor of Ionescu who busted the Dutchman who qualified for the Unibet Open Main Event with just €0,10.

Van Dijk gets to collect €2,830 at the payout desk which is an incredible 28,300 times his initial investment in the tournament.
