Rink Doubles Through Sinclair

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Emil Brunnberg raised it up to 2,600 in the cutoff and Jack Sinclair three-bet to 7,000 on the button. Mark Rink then four-bet all in and Brunnberg folded after brief consideration. Sinclair asked for a count and gave it one minute to call once it was determined to be for 28,500 in total.

Mark Rink: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Jack Sinclair: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

"I had ace-jack suited also," Brunnberg said in table chat and Sinclair replied with a dry "thanks." The {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was a big sweat for Rink as Sinclair picked up a flush draw, but the {7-Spades} turn and {6-Spades} river brought no upset to let the Dutchman double.

Andrey “reynad” Yanyuk Wins esports Battle Royale XI

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Andrey Yanyuk
Andrey Yanyuk

For the 11th time, the Unibet Open have hosted a special nine-handed SNG for popular and well-known esports gamers and it was Andrey “reynad” Yanyuk that scooped the title and payday of €4,700. A total of €10,000 was up for grabs and the SNG usually pays out the top three spots, however, a lengthy bubble period saw all four remaining players agree to take €300 off each payout from the top three and ensure €900 for the fourth-place finisher.

Lisa “STPeach” Vannatta became the first female gamer to cash in an esport SNG as part of the Unibet Open and she was followed by Alan “Hotted89” Widmann in third place. Scott “Sco” McMillan had already won the nine-max format previously and held a commanding lead over Andrey "reynad" Yanyuk in heads-up, but this time it wasn't meant to be for Sco who had to settle for the runner-up spot in the early morning hours.

Byrne Eliminated by Storm-Christensen

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Daiva Byrne
Daiva Byrne

Fokke Beukers was eliminated a few minutes into the new level and Daiva Byrne dropped below the starting stack after clashing with Charlotte van Brabander in a medium-sized pot.

Picking up the action on the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} turn, Byrne checked in early position and van Brabander on the button made it 5,700 to go with the pot at 20,000 already. Byrne reluctantly called and checked again the {2-Clubs} on the river. What followed was a bet of 11,000 by van Brabander and Byrne folded with around 24,000 behind.

A few hands later, Byrne was in the big blind and faced a button raise to 3,500 by Nicolas Storm-Christensen. Byrne jammed with pocket eights in the big blind and Storm-Christensen took the flip with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. The board came {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and the Dane paired his ace on the turn to send Byrne to the rail.
