Varszegi Gets Value From Meysman

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} board, Tamas Varszegi bet 10,500 and Lars Meysman called in position. On the {5-Clubs} river, Varszegi bet 25,000 and Meysman paid the bet.

Varszegi was all over the board with the {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Meysman mucked his hand.

Sonsterudbraten Missteps Against Brand

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

[Removed:155] raised to 3,500 on the button and Even Sonsterudbraten three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Brand four-bet shoved 32,300 and Sonsterudbraten flicked a chip in with a shrug.

[Removed:155]: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
Even Sonsterudbraten: {J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Sonsterudbraten's optional jack-four offsuit was live against Brand's ace-nine but the best hand remained ahead on {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Maki Slowrolls Kusters

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Mika Maki, who by now has passed the aforementioned inebriated stage, had all his chips in the middle on a {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades} board. It was a shove for 30,000 and Kusters didn't like it.

"Do you want me to call?" the Belgian asked, but Maki simply stared in front of him. After ten more seconds, Kusters flicked six T-5,000 chips in to call.

Very slowly and deliberately, Maki looked at one of his cards before putting it back down. He then looked at the other and threw the {7-Clubs} open onto the felt. Maki paused several more seconds before revealing the {A-Spades} as his other hole card. He then yelled it out and celebrated a Finnish friend that was passing by. Kusters didn't respond as Maki collected the 80k pot.

Bondo Runs Queens Into Kings

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jes Bondo shoved 35,000 from the cutoff and Jeremy Del Gallo reshoved from the small blind.

Jes Bondo: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Jeremy Del Gallo: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Bondo's hopes were over after the turn on a {4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and he left the tournament area with a deep sigh.

Eliminations in Level 8

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Egi Adriaans was the latest casualty in the eight level of the day. The Belgian got it in with kings against queens for a 130,000 pot, but a queen on the flop made for a nasty exit. Esports Battle Royale winner Scott "Sco" McMillan has also run out of chips.
