All Swede Battle

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Mathias 'casinodaddy' Joelsson raised it up from middle position and Serdar Demircan defended from the big blind. The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Demircan checked to Joelsson who continued for 4,000. Demircan called and the {k-Clubs} hit the turn.

Demircan checked again and Joelsson fired out another 6,500. Demircan min-raised to 13,000 and Joelsson called. The river was the {4-Spades} and Demircan sized up a bet of 24,000. Joelsson wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck.

Vaka Can't Push Knoppers Off

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Monica Vaka raised it up to 3,500 in middle position and Luigi Knoppers called from the big blind. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Knoppers check-called a bet of 4,000 from Vaka.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and both players checked to the {9-Clubs} on the river. Knoppers dropped in a small bet of 6,000 and Vaka countered with a small raise to 16,000. Knoppers called and Vaka showed {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} for just ace-high. Knoppers held {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair and scooped the pot.

Vihreaesaari Doubles Through Nielsen

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Riku Vihreaesaari got all of his 39,500 chips in the middle. He was up against Simon Nielsen and Vihreaesaari was in a good spot to double up.

Riku Vihreaesaari: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Simon Nielsen: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} left Vihreaesaari in the lead with his pair of kings. The {5-Clubs} and {4-Diamonds} runout didn't change anything and Vihreaesaari scored a double up early on Day 2.
