Beretta Takes Down Nica

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action folded to Luca Beretta who stuck in a raise on the button. Adrian Nica was one of the short stacks at the table and pushed all in for around 50,000 in the big blind. Beretta made the call and the cards were face up.

Luca Beretta: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Adrian Nica: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Nica was looking to avoid the dreaded ace but sure enough, the flop of {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} gave Beretta the lead. The {6-Spades} and the {3-Hearts} were unable to help Nica who headed for the exit.

Mecs Spikes the Turn to Win a Flip

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Mate Mecs
Mate Mecs

Mate Mecs made it 5,000 to go from the cutoff and Andre Henning three-bet to 20,000 from the big blind. Mecs thought for a minute before shoving all in for just over 100,000 and Henning flicked in a chip to call.

Mate Mecs: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Andre Henning: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The two players were flipping for stacks and Henning took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop. However, the {6-Spades} on the turn gave Mecs a set of sixes and Henning was drawing dead to the {k-Spades} on the river. Once the stacks were counted, Henning started with just under 100,000 chips and was eliminated.

Big Stacks Collide

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alan Carr
Alan Carr

Alan Carr raised it up to 4,500 in early position and Petter Kaarstad defended from the big blind. The flop fell {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn.

Kaarstad threw in a bet of 8,000 and Carr called to see the {10-Clubs} pair the board on the river. Kaarstad reached back for another bet of 30,000 and Carr stuck in a raise to 80,000. Kaarstad went into the tank for a minute before finally making the call. Carr turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a full house and Kaarstad mucked his cards.

Wiksten Runs Into Aces

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Epsen Moen opened to 4,500 in early position and Matthew Ireland three-bet to 12,000 from the cutoff. Uuso Wiksten four-bet shoved all in for around 70,000 in the big blind which got Moen to fold. Ireland, however, quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Matthew Ireland: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Uuso Wiksten: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Not only did Ireland have the larger of the two pocket pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. That would be important as the board ran out {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Spades} and Ireland held the nut flush to eliminate Wiksten.
