Thirteen Main Event Seats Up For Grabs in Satellite

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Registration is now closed on Event #10: Satellite to Main Event. One hundred entries paid the €165 entry fee to build a €15,000 prize pool. That means 13 players will walk away with an €1,100 ticket to the Main Event, to use on either Day 1b or Day 1c, and the 14th place players will get €700 for their troubles.

There are still 54 players in action, so there's still a ways to go before they hand out tickets.

Final Break of the Night

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Level 8 is now finished, and that means players are off for their break of the night. The remaining players will come back in 20 minutes for Level 9 with blinds at 600/1200/1200. There are just two levels of play before Day 1a is complete.

Wesselink Gets a Fold on the River

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Tiago Santos opened it up with a raise to 2,200 from the button, and Wim Wesselink called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Wesselink check-called a bet of 2,000.

They both checked the {k-Clubs} turn, but Wesselink bet 7,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn. Santos took his time, but eventually folded to the bet.

Final Table in Event #8: €165 NLH Turbo

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

They are down to nine players remaining in the side event, €165 NLH Turbo. Only seven players will get paid, so there's still a bit of work to do on the final table before they get into the money. A minimum cash in this one is worth €420, while first place pays €2,790. Irish player James Walsh currently has the chip lead with around 160,000.

Reerslev Calls a Small Shove

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

It folded to Aurelie Reard in the cutoff, and she elected to get her final 3,100 into the middle. It folded to Aage Reerslev in the big blind, and he didn't like his hand much, but felt priced in to make the call.

Reard was on {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} against the {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} of Reerslev. Reerslev didn't need to improve, but did on the {7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} board while Reard missed it all, and sent her small remaining stack over to Reerslev.
