Serdar Demircan Eliminated in 4th Place (€23,770)

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Serdar Demircan
Serdar Demircan

Serdar Demircan pushed all-in as the first player to act and Mats Karlsson with the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} in the small blind eyeballed the rough amount before letting go.

"I need a count," Henrik Juncker instantly said when it was his turn to act. Once it was deemed to be for 2,285,000 total, Juncker went into the tank for the first time on the final table.

"You must have a pretty strong hand if you are even thinking about calling," Demircan chimed in. The jam was for most of Juncker's stack and he eventually made the call.

Serdar Demircan: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Hendrik Juncker: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop gave Juncker an open-ended straight draw on top of his pocket pair. With one ace gone, the {2-Clubs} turn left Demircan with five outs but the {6-Spades} river was no threat to eliminate Demircan in fourth place for €23,770.

Kuhlman Turns a Value Shove

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Rene Kuhlman
Rene Kuhlman

Serdar Demircan opted to limp the button with {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Rene Kuhlman did so from the small blind with the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, Mats Karlsson joked "three way all-in" as he checked the {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop gave all players a pair but they checked to the {7-Hearts} turn. Kuhlman checked and Karlsson bet 250,000 for Demircan to call. The check-shove by Kuhlman for 1,260,000 and Karlsson almost immediately said "that's around one million?" without asking for an exact count.

Both Swedes folded and Kuhlman pulled even with Demircan.

Demircan Gets Two Jams Through

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hendrik Juncker limped the {k-Spades}{7-Spades} in the small blind, having been warned in table chat by Serdar Demircan he might find an ace and call if he'd jam. Demircan then glanced at the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to shove and forced an instant fold.

Juncker made it 240,000 to go on the button with the {a-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Demircan shipped it in for 2,175,000 out of the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to leap into second place.

Karlsson Retains the Lead

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Rene Kuhlman checked the small blind with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Mats Karlsson knuckled back the {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Both checked the {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and the {9-Spades} followed on the turn. Kuhlman checked once more and then called a bet worth 300,000 by Karlsson.

The {9-Diamonds} river was checked and Kuhlman was somewhat upset but with a smile on the face when Karlsson's king-high was good enough.

After the end of the hand and level, the players headed into a quick five-minute toilet break as previously agreed upon.

Demircan Cannot Catch Karlsson

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop was checked and Henrik Juncker checked with the {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, as did Serdar Demircan with the {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Juncker check-called the {6-Diamonds} turn for 100,000 and the {8-Diamonds} river was checked.

Demircan then defended the big blind with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} as Mats Karlsson opened the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop was check-folded by Demircan, who instantly exploded.

"So fuckin lucky, why can't I catch you one time ..." he complained and the instant "you don't try hard enough" by the fellow Swede followed.

Karlsson Takes Over the Lead From Juncker

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mats Karlsson limped the button with {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Henrik Juncker did so in the small blind with {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Serdar Demircan checked. Juncker and Demircan checked the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop for Karlsson to bet 200,000 and Juncker was the only caller.

After the {a-Hearts} turn, Juncker checked again and an undeterred Karlsson bet 400,000 to win the pot, taking over the lead.

Karlsson Starts Assuming Control

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a limped blind battle, Mats Karlsson bet the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop for 250,000 with the {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Henrik Juncker folded the {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

Juncker limped the next small blind with a queen-rag before and instantly folded when Serdar Demircan jammed the {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

"You always raise when I am in the big blind and now you call?!" Demircan inquired and received a very dry one-liner back by the Dane.

The next button raise by Juncker with the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} earned the chips back as both blinds folded.

Rene Kuhlman opened to 300,000 in the next small blind with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and was called by Karlsson in the big blind with the inferior {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. The {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop was checked by the initial raiser and Karlsson bet 400,000 into 700,000.

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mats Karlsson raised to 200,000 as the first player to act with the {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Henrik Juncker three-bet to 525,000 on the button with {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and it folded to Rene Kuhlman in the big blind. He glanced at the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and he pushed for 2,145,000 to force two folds.

Karlsson Starts Chipping Up

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Mats Karlsson
Mats Karlsson

Several small hands without any major action followed and Serdar Demircan then limped the {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} in the small blind. Rene Kuhlman raised to 250,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} in the big blind to take it down.

Demircan then opened to 250,000 on the button with the {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Mats Karlsson pushed all-in from the big blind with the {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, which saw his chips fall over.

"Can you count?" Demircan inquired and Karlsson replied "should be around two million," which was indeed the case as the all-in was for 1,975,000.

Once he was given the amount, Demircan snap-folded.

Demircan then limped in with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} from the cutoff, Karlsson did so from the small blind with {j-Spades}{5-Spades} and Henrik Juncker checked the {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. They checked the {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Karlsson bet the {8-Diamonds} turn and took it down without resistance.
