Juncker Earns Some Free Chips

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rene Kuhlman raised to 80,000 with the {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Mats Karlsson called with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} out of the big blind. They checked the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and the {8-Spades} turn. Karlsson also checked the {j-Clubs} river and gave it brief consideration before folding to a bet worth 110,000.

Serdar Demircan then limped the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Kuhlman did so with the {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Karlsson came along with the {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} in the small blind and Henrik Juncker then bumped it up to 280,000 with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} out of the big blind.

Demircan cut out calling chips but folded, as did Kuhlman and Karlsson. Juncker won the pot and cheekily showed his cards.

Mölderkivi Gets One Shove Through

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rain Mölderkivi made it 80,000 to go with the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} from an early position and Henrik Juncker came along in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop was checked by Juncker and a shove by Mölderkivi brought the snap-fold of the Dane.

All following hands barely brought any major action as the final table hit a temporary lull.

Serdar Demircan then opened to 90,000 with the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the button to take down the blinds and big blind ante.

Sardal Jams On the Flop

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rene Kuhlman picked up the blinds and big blind ante with pocket kings. Up next, Tal Sardal opened to 80,000 with the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Mats Karlsson called out of the big blind holding the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

On the {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Karlsson's check triggered a shove by Sardal for 755,000 and that won the pot without any resistance.

Karlsson Extracts Value From Kuhlman

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mats Karlsson
Mats Karlsson

Rene Kuhlman raised to 80,000 with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} on the button for Mats Karlsson to defend the {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} out of the big blind. Both checked the {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and the {2-Hearts} followed on the turn. Karlsson now bet 80,000 and Kuhlman called.

The {j-Diamonds} fell on the river and Karlsson made it 200000 to go. Visible disgust was on Kuhlman's face and he sigh-called after some 20 seconds to get shown the bad news.

Raymond Wheatley Eliminated in 9th Place (€7,200)

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Raymond Wheatley
Raymond Wheatley

The action folded all the way to Raymond Wheatley in the small blind and he pushed all-in for 380,000. Tal Sardal called out of the big blind with the superior stack and better hand.

Raymond Wheatley: {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Tal Sardal: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop provided no help yet while the {6-Spades} turn provided some additional hope. However, the {a-Diamonds} river was of no help and Wheatley became the first casualty on the final table. He takes home €7,200 for the efforts and all eight contenders now have €9,000 locked up.
