Matyjaszczyk Gets One Through Against Lappin

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a battle small blind versus cutoff, David Lappin bet the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades} turn in four-way action and was called only by Jaroslaw Matyjaszczyk as they headed to the {10-Spades} river. Lappin now bet again for 3,100 and Matyjaszczyk then raised to 10,000. That sent Lappin deep into the tank as he talked through various hand combinations that his opponent may have including the seven-eight of spades.

Lappin eventually sigh-folded and Matyjaszczyk raked in the pot without showing his cards. It has still been a decent last hour for the Unibet Poker ambassador, as Lappin leaped above the starting stack.

Meutstege Doubles Through Dahl

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Koen Meutstege
Koen Meutstege

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Juho Santala and Koen Meutstege checked to Baard Dahl on the button who bet 1,700. Santala folded while Meutstege then check-raised to 5,100. Dahl called and paid a bet worth 5,000 by Meutstege on the {5-Hearts} turn.

The {3-Spades} river brought the shove by the Dutchman for 21,000 and Dahl called after a few seconds of consideration. Meutstege rolled over the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for fives full of aces and Dahl briefly exposed his {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an inferior full house, bemoaning the "worst turn card".

Andersson Chips Back Up

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Three ways to the {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn, Morgan Andersson bet 2,000 out of the small blind. Olli Rummukainen raised to 6,000 in the big blind and that forced out William Jarman on the button. Andersson then grabbed into his chips and made it 13,000 to go after some deliberation, which ended up winning the pot on the spot following a snap-fold by Rummukainen.

Vaka Jams Into Szabo

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Unibet Poker ambassador Monica Vaka has chipped up and increased her stack above the current average near the end of level five. In the latest hand, she check-called a bet worth 2,500 by Levente Szabo on the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs} turn and then jammed the {j-Clubs} river with the far superior stack.

Szabo had fewer than one third of the starting stack behind by then and sent his cards into the muck.

Mjagkov Wins Flip Against Heinsvig

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Over on the new feature table, Dehlia de Jong is the chip leader while two shorter stacks got their chips in. Andrei Mjagkov was at risk for 8,300 only and tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, as he was looked up by Kenneth Heinsvig with the {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

The {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} runout improved Mjagkov and he pulled narrowly ahead of his opponent.

Re's Flop Raise Wins It

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Gabriele Re opened to 1,200 and Tomasz Kozub three-bet to 3,600 from two seats over. William Gritz flat-called out of the big blind and Re made it three ways to the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop. The action checked to Kozub, who continued for 3,000.

Gritz quickly called only for Re to then check-raise to 10,000. That got rid of Kozub and Gritz also waved the white flag, too.

Salmela Gets Paid Off by Andersson

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

On the river of a {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} board, Antti Salmela bet 10,500 when checked to by Morgan Andersson. The latter then opted to call and mucked his cards once Salmela tabled the {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a jack-high straight.

Upon completion of the hand, both were near even in chips and only trail Finnish rapper Dan Tolppanen on the same table.
