With around 10,000 in the middle to the turn, Mats Karlsson made it 6,000 to go out of the big blind. Jussi Heikela was his sole remaining opponent and raised it up to 13,000.

That sent Karlsson, a former runner-up of the EPT Malta Main Event at the Portomaso Casino around the corner from this very venue, into a brief tank. He then opted to fold and Heikela raked in the pot.
