Juncker Jams Into Boghean

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Joining the action on the heads-up turn of {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Henrik Juncker bet 3,500 in the cutoff. He was up against Valentin Boghean on the button, who gave it some thought and then tossed in one of the blue T-5,000 chips for the call.

Another club came with the {q-Clubs} on the river and that's when Juncker pushed all-in for 21,000. That sent Boghean into the tank for a good minute before he opted to fold.

The Pot Sizes Are Increasing

Alfredo Cuti
Alfredo Cuti

On the river of a queen-high board with two diamonds, Alexandru Budai bet 3,600 only to face the large shove by Alfredo Cuti. The Romanian folded and was flashed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for the broadway straight by Cuti, who raked in the pot with a smile on the face.

Nicky Roeg continued his early hot run over on table eight and he pointed out a profit of 14,000. "I am not going to say who against," he added while smirking and looking towards the far end of the table where Frank Op de Woerd had already lost a decent chunk of his stack.

Small Pot for Frame

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Kevin Frame opened the action with a raise to 300 and was called by Filip Holmqvist and Jan Kusters. Only the latter check-called a bet worth 400 on the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop and then checked the {q-Clubs} turn. Frame now upped his sizing to 1,400 and that was enough to win the pot.

The same table also features Martin Paap, who has been a regular on the European poker circuit in the mid-stakes buy-ins.

Drummond Chips Up With Aggression

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Following a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Anders Josefsson bet 600 and then faced a raise to 1,700 by Robert Drummond. The Swede shrugged and sigh-called with the words "guess I gotta call at least once". They headed to the {8-Diamonds} turn on which Josefsson checked and faced a bet worth 3,000.

That was enough to shut down his resistance and he folded. "Ace king?" he inquired and Drummond replied "You or me? Ace queen of spades maybe but I had ace king beat."

Paul Romain raised it up to 300 from an early position and was called only by Marcin Nadarzewski on the button. They headed to the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop on which Romain continued for 600 to win the pot.

In the next hand, Romain limped from under the gun and came along when Nadarzewski raised to 400. The flop brought {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and Romain check-folded to a bet worth 500.

On a three-way flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Nicky Roeg bet 300 when checked two by two opponents including Eugene Ulanov. He received two calls and that led to a {9-Hearts} turn that got checked through. Two checks followed on the {q-Spades} turn and Roeg bet 1,100 to win the pot without resistance.

Small Tussles Between Rattya and Brunnberg

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

On the river of a {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} board, Jari Rattya bet 2,100 into a pot of around 3,500 against Emil Brunnberg. The latter opted to fold but both would tussle again in a small pot soon after.

This time, Brunnberg checked a {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and Rattya bet 700. Brunnberg's check-raise to 2,400 won the pot right there as he recovered some of the losses.
