The Day 2 field continues to shrink at a very consistent pace and just 78 players remain in contention. Several players who were last spotted with a stack just shy of the average are no longer in the mix including Bas de Laat, Esa Valliaro, and Simon Wilson.
Damir Savio pushed all-in for what appeared to be 32,500 and Eric Gorree went over the top for a couple of blinds more to force out all players behind.

flop improved Gorree to a set of kings while the 
turn delivered an unexpected yet mandatory sweat. However, the 
river was a blank as Gorree earned the knockout with kings full of fours.
The start into Day 2 has been quite clearly dominated by Norway's Jon Per Persent, who may very well be the first player above half a million in chips. In the latest all-in showdown, he was up against Italy's Candido Gabriele Cappiello and had the best of it once more.

Serdar Demircan has continued his rise and joined the bigger stacks next to his friend Oliver Said, who he had railed from nearby tables on Day 1b.
One table over, two other big stacks tussled when Arnaud Enselme raised to 6,500 from under the gun. Tony Westby three-bet to 18,000 from one seat over and Enselme called. On a flop of 
, Enselme check-called for 13,000 and the 
turn was checked by both.
The river paired the board and Enselme bet 32,500 to shut down his opponent.
Luca Beretta had waited for a spot to get his severe short stack into the middle and was ultimately looked up by Gerben Bos, who was essentially committed out of the blinds.

flop seemed innocent but the 
turn was a mighty sweat. Sure enough, the 
river completed the flush and Bos dragged in the pot with a "how can I fold".
From under the gun, Hasmukh Khodiyara raised to 6,000 and Robin Valting then pushed all-in from the hijack or 33,500. Juho Santala in the small blind asked for an exact count but folded while the initial raiser Khodiyara instantly called.

Luca Beretta pushed a shorter stack on the button for Nicolae Hotoleanu to look him up from the small blind. Kevin Frame then got his last 28,500 in from the big blind as well to create a three-way showdown.
