The Unibet Open at Casino de Marrakech is now well and truly underway, with today marking the arrival of its headline event. The Unibet Open Main Event Day 1a begins at 12 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of 12,000 MAD required for those wishing to enter.
This event follows the success of the previous Paris edition, that took place in May earlier this year. Luca Bernardi holds the title of raining Unibet Open Main Event champion, having shipped the Main Event in the French capital, alongside its €115,000 first-placed prize. Jérémie Gorge (€77,200) took second, with Hugo Groizeteau (€58,350) rounding out the podium.
The Marrakech edition of the event offers a starting stack of 50,000. The first day of play entails 10 60-minute levels before players bag up, and a 15-minute break after every two. A 60-minute dinner break will take place following the completion of Level 8.

Day 1a is the first of four Day 1 flights, which take place across two days, from September 30-October 1. Two are full flights with 60-minute levels, and the other options are the speed flight (30-minute levels) or the turbo flight (25-minute levels). Day 1a and 1b take place September 30, with 1c and 1d played out the following day, October 1.

Those who manage to bag up at the end of a Day 1 starting flight, or those who decide to enter directly into Day 2, will be returning at 1:00 p.m. local time on Friday, October 2. Blind Levels remain at 60 minutes apiece, and players are allowed unlimited re-entries. Late registration will be open until the end of Level 13, which is
the third level of Day 2.
