Valter Faria opened the action preflop with a raise to 800 from early position. Pablo Villena called to his left, as did Larbi on the button. Alexis then made it 5,000 to go from the big blind, and Faria, undeterred, threw in 16,000.
Both callers folded, and Alexis made a massive shove for his 61,800. Faria went deep into the tank, but was unable to get away, eventually sticking in a call.
Alexis: A♦A♣
Valter Faria: A♠K♣
It was a nightmare spot for Faria, who had ran into the rockets. He was dead on the turn of the 4♦10♣4♣6♠3♥ runout, and was already up and out of his seat before the river was dealt.
He exited the tournament area whilst the dealer counted stacks, and as it turned out he had 800 left in his stack. He was in the big blind two hands later, and was forced all in. He was dealt out of the hand, and eliminated .
