The Unibet Open Main Event is now officially halfway through its Day 1 flights. With Day 1a and Day 1b coming to a close yesterday evening, all eyes are now on Day 1c, which gets underway at 12:00 p.m. local time here at Casino de Marrakech

During the first flight of the most appetizing event on the schedule, a total of 211 players entered, with just 71 being able to find a bag after 10 levels of play. Day 1b saw another 24 entries, with nine surviving until the end, bringing the totals to 235 entries, and 80 confirmed for Day 2.

Of those, its Picachu who emerged on top following the first day of action, as he bagged a whopping 385,000 chips in Day 1a. That is good for 192 big blinds, and almost eight full starting stacks.

Coming in just behind is Mounim Kaddouri (375,000), with Anthony Apicella (350,000) rounding out the podium

It’s a very similar story today, as Day 1c mirrors the structure of Day 1a: 60-minute levels, 15-minute breaks after every two, and an hour-long dinner break following Level 8. Cards are set to be in the air at 12:00 p.m. local time.

The Day 1d Turbo flight also takes place today, and is the fastest of them all, trading in 60-minute levels for just 25: five minutes less on the clock than Day 1b Speed. It gets underway at 9:30 p.m.

Yet again, late registration is open throughout the entire Day, through to Level 13 during Day 2. Re-entries are unlimited.
