Ludovic Walpole currently occupies the top spot, as his extremely impressive showing in Day 1c saw him bag up 498,500 in chips, which translates to 249 big blinds when Day 2 begins. Second place is Fermin Lopez, who scored 428,000 in the same flight, and Day 1a chip leader Picachu rounds out the podium with 385,000.
Further down in the counts, plenty of names will be setting their sights on progressing even further in the tournament, and perhaps none more so than Alexandre Reard (153,500). The two-time bracelet winner is no stranger to deep runs, and may well add yet another to the collection. Fellow Unibet Poker Ambassador Margaux Ponnelle (93,500) will undoubtedly have the same hunger for to progress.
Reard is not the only returning player that’s well versed in winning, as multiple EPT victors survived a Day 1 flight. Simon Wiciak (139,50) and Jean Montury (134,000) will be joining him at the tables, as will Mario Boos (207,000), fresh off a final table appearance at this summer’s WSOP Main Event.
Registration remains open for the first three levels of the day, and closes at the end of Level 13, meaning not only will the 681 total entrants see some extra fresh faces, but the 7,354,800 MAD prize pool that has been accrued so far will continue to rise
Day 2 will see Level 11 restart, meaning blinds begin at 1,000/2,000/2,000. Late registration closes after Level 13, and the plan is to play out 11 full 60-minute levels before bagging.
