Akbarpoor Check-Shoves
Level 24
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ali Rachedi opened to 60,000 on the button. Big blind Abdullah Akbarpoor made it 200,000 to go, and Rachedi stuck in the call.
He then called a bet of 175,000 on the 7♠4♥3♠ flop, bringing in the 8♣ on the turn. Akbarpoor slowed down with a check, only to check-shove his 1,300,000 over Rachedi's bet of 220,000.
Rachedi went deep into the tank, and let his hand go after quite some time.
"Now breathe," he said to his opponent in French. Akbarpoor, not understanding, tabled his Q♥Q♣ in response. It was then explained to him, and he took a deep breath in jest.
