Pascale Groshens Eliminated in 11th Place (125,000 MAD)
Level 28
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Maxime Parys opened the action with a raise to 160,000. Abdullah Akbarpoor made it 425,000 to go from the button, before big blind Pascal Groshens jammed for 1,020,000.
Parys then went very deep into the tank, and eventually counted out calling chips before sliding them forward. Akbarpoor thought for a moment before folding.
Pascal Groshens: K♦K♥
Maxime Parys: A♦A♣
"Don't put an eight," pleaded Akbarpoor, and the dealer obliged, running out the full 3♣J♥4♦6♦10♦ board. Groshens busted brutally, running number two into number one, unable to find a way out.
"I knew you had aces when you flat-called," Groshens said to his compatriot as he went over to shake his hand, before exiting the tournament area.
