Hammer Penalized; Parys Short
Level 35
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Maxime Parys opened K♥7♥ to 1,700,000 on the button, which was good for about half of his stack. Big blind Hammer called the bet, then tabled his K♦J♠, thinking that his opponent was all in. He then hid his cards, but not quickly enough, and the floor came over to speak to the dealer.
When all was sorted out, the hand was instructed to continue, and the 6♣3♦8♠ flop was dealt. Hammer moved all in, and Parys folded.
The floor gave Hammer a one-round penalty, and the very next hand Parys moved all in under the gun with A♥4♥ With one less player to get through, he picked up the blinds.
