Hands #20-24: Nadim Doubles to Take the Lead

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Boutros Nadim
Boutros Nadim

Hand #20: Stephen Chidwick limped from the button with {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Boutros Nadim completed with his {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Sam Soverel checked his options with {Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the three saw {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} hit the flop. No bets were made on that street but Chidwick spiked two pair on the {K-Spades} turn. Chidwick bet out 80,000 after the action checked to him, but he found no customers.

Hand #21:
Justin Bonomo started the hand with a min-raise from the hijack, holding {K-Spades}{7-Spades}. Nadim flatted {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} on the button and big blind Justin Young joined the contest as well, calling with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The 8JA flop was checked to Nadim who fired 125,000 only to see Young check-raise to 270,000. Bonomo walked out of the way and Nadim folded as well.

Hand #22: Bonomo peeled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} in the second position and min-raised. Nadim found {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs} once again and stuck to his previous strategy, flatting in position. The heads-up battle continued on the {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{K-Hearts} board where Bonomo check-called 110,000 on the flop and another 125,000 on the turn. The river brought two quick checks and Bonomo claimed a sizeable pot.

Hand #23: Nadim opened to 55,000 from the hijack and Soverel re-raised to 160,000. Nadim accepted the price and the dealer dealt the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop. Nadim led big, making it 325,000 but Soverel wasn't ready to give up. He called and the {Q-Spades} appeared on the turn. Nadim shoved for 590,000 and Soverel took about a minute before calling.

Nadim: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Soverel: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Soverel was in bad shape and the {8-Clubs} river sealed the huge double for Nadim who vaulted to the top of the chip counts.

Hand #24: Nadim was once again in the epicentre of the action, opening to 60,000 with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Bonomo called with {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} in the small blind but he folded when Nadim bet another 75,000 on the {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop.
