On a board reading {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Tom Marchese led out for 13,000 into a pot of around 17,000 from the small blind. Jason Koon called from the big blind and the {9-Clubs} completed the board. Marchese fired another 30,000 and Koon made the call. Marchese tabled {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Koon was forced to send his cards to the muck.

In the next hand, David Peters got all of his chips in the middle from the cutoff and was up against Marchese on the button. Peters tabled {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and was racing with Marchese's {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Marchese took the lead with a pair of aces. The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river brought the {9-Spades}, sending Peters to the rail.
