Hanks Puts His Chips to Work

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante
Brent Hanks
Brent Hanks

Jake Schindler opened to 17,000 from the cutoff and Brent Hanks moved all in for 75,000 on the button. Justin Bonomo flatted from the small blind and Schindler got out of the way. Hanks tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} but ran into the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Bonomo.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and things looked grim for Hanks. The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn and Hanks picked up a flush draw to go with his one overcard. The river brought the {7-Diamonds} and Hanks made his flush to double up.

Just a few hands later, Hanks opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Bonomo called from the cutoff. Keith Tilston three-bet to 70,000 out of the small blind and Hanks four-bet shoved all in for 181,000. Both Bonomo and Tilston mucked their cards as Hanks picked up some more chips.
