Pollak Turns a Flush

Level 15

Omaha 8

Issac Haxton opened with the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} from under the gun and found calls from Benjamin Pollak holding the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} in the small blind and Chris Vitch with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} in the big.

The flop came down {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Vitch bet 50,000. Haxton called and Pollak bumped it up. Vitch folded and Haxton called bringing the {4-Clubs} on the turn.

Needing a timebank chip, Pollak check-called a bet from Haxton after hitting his flush and the {k-Diamonds} completed the board.

Pollak checked once more and Haxton gave up, mucking when Pollak showed him the goods.

Pollak Tank-Calls With Ace-High, Loses to Shak

Level 15

Omaha 8

Dan Shak raised from the small blind with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Benjamin Pollak defended {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. The {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop gave Shak the nut-flush draw while Pollak had a gutshot along with a low draw. Shak continued and Pollak called.

Shak's dangler made trips on the {7-Hearts} turn and he fired again. Pollak called again.

The {8-Diamonds} river saw Shak bet one more time. Pollak had only ace-high but he spent over 50 seconds thinking about his decision. He eventually threw in one chip, calling. He dropped to the bottom of the rankings as Shak leap-frogged into fourth place.

Pollak Picks Up Eight-Perfect

Level 15

Pollak had a jack-high and led out, earning a call from Haxton who didn't improve.

Pollak drew one on the second draw while Haxton remained drawing two. Pollak hit a deuce to complete eight-perfect while Haxton now had four wheel cards in addition to an ace. Haxton called one more bet.

The final draw saw Pollak pat while Haxton still could outdraw his opponent, should he peel a five or a six. He paired his four instead and laid his hand down after Pollak fired one more bet.
