Riess Continues to Grow

Nick Petrangelo raised to 12,000 under the gun. Keith Tilston called in the hijack and Ryan Riess called in the cutoff.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and action checked to Riess who put out a bet of 20,000. Petrangelo let it go but Tilston called to see the turn.

On the {2-Clubs} turn, Tilston checked again. Riess made it 47,000. Tilston then folded and Riess took down the pot, pushing him to nearly 500,000 chips.

Ryan Riess opened to 11,000 from the button, Justin Bonomo three-bet to 42,000 in the small blind and Riess called. The dealer fanned out {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} on the flop and Bonomo threw in 30,000.

Riess called, the dealer burned and turned a {10-Hearts}. Bonomo checked to Riess who pushed in a bet of 59,000 and Bonomo folded, sending the pot to Riess.

Sean Winter opened to 9,000 from the cutoff, Alex Foxen called in the small blind and the flop came down {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Action checked to Winter, he bet 8,000 and Foxen called.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the turn and both players checked to the {6-Diamonds} on the river. Foxen pushed in a bet of 33,000 and Winter snap-called. Foxen showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for nothing and Winter tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a flopped pair of aces, taking down the pot.

Smith Can't Find a Fold; Busts to Foxen

Alex Foxen opened with a raise to 9,000 from under the gun before Dan Smith three-bet to 28,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Foxen who called.

The flop was {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Foxen checked to Smith who continued for 35,000. Foxen called.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, Foxen checked again. Smith made it 65,000. Foxen called once more.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Foxen checked a third time. Smith then put out a bet of roughly 104,000, leaving himself with one red T1,000 chip behind. Foxen quickly announced that he was all in. Smith laughed, made a confused face, shrugged, then called.

Smith showed his {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Foxen turned over his cards, first revealing the {a-Hearts} then just after the {8-Hearts} for trip eights.

"I wonder when someone is going to bluff doing that," Sean Winter said after the hand.

"I was excited because I thought he was going to fold," Foxen said. "I was going to show the ace of hearts and that's it."

Adams Moves the Rest in, Hunichen Hits Another River

Chris Hunichen opened from the cutoff, Brandon Adams moved all in on the button for his last 51,000 and Hunichen called.

The flop came down {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Adams was still in the lead with his pair of cowboys. A {7-Spades} came down on the turn, giving Hunichen some outs to a flush. The river was a {j-Diamonds}, hitting Hunichen with another jack and giving him the pot, eliminating Adams in the process.

Bonomo Tries to Push Peters Out

Justin Bonomo called in the small blind, David Peters raised to 18,000 from the big blind and Bonomo three-bet to 60,000. Peters called and the flop came down {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Bonomo led for 30,000, Peters called and the {6-Spades} landed on the turn. Bonomo pushed in 75,000, Peters quickly called and the {5-Clubs} hit the felt.

Bonomo moved his opponent all in and Peters snap-called for his last 145,000. Bonomo shook his head as he turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a missed straight draw and Peters tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for aces up, pulling in the pot for a double up through Bonomo.

Smith Finds Thin River Value Against Koon

Dan Smith opened from the cutoff to 8,000 and Jason Koon three-bet on the button to 26,000. Action folded back to Smith who called.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. They checked again on the {k-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {2-Spades} and now Smith led for 35,000. Koon tanked a bit, then looked him up but was no good. Smith showed down {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Koon mucked so Smith was awarded the pot.
