Better Pair for Wong

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Weng Wong opened to 5,500 in middle position, and Adrian Digirolamo made the call in the small blind. Both players checked the K♦A♦5♦ flop, and Digirolamo led out for 6,000 on the 6♣ turn.

Wong slid in a call, and another pair of checks followed the 9♣ river. Digirolamo turned over K♥3♥ for a pair of kings, while Wong showed A♥Q♥ to take the pot with a pair of aces.

One Chip and a Chair

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

David Xie was all-in for a single chip worth 1,000 and the small blind limped in, then folded when German Marchese pushed from the big blind.

David Xie: A♠9♣ All in
German Marchese: Q♠J♠

The A♥8♣7♥7♦4♦ board improved Xie to six chips.

He then jammed 5,500 and Kelvin Li called in the big blind for little more than a full blind.

David Xie: 9♣7♣ All in
Kelvin Li: 4♥2♦

The 9♦5♥4♦K♠3♣ board made it another double for Xie.

Wong Binks an Ace to Double

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Weng Wong was all-in for 72,000 with the A♣K♦ and needed an ace or broadway, as Adrian DiGirolamo was well ahead with the K♣K♥.

Wong was about to stand up from his chair after the 9♠6♥3♦ flop but the move never concluded when the A♠ struck on the turn. One king was left in the deck and the 5♥ river changed nothing.

Ajez Bets Out Oiberman

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nai Goh checked the 9♠2♣3♠ flop from the big blind, and Najeem Ajez tossed out a bet of 5,000 from middle position. Nickolas Oiberman called in the cutoff, while Goh got out of the way.

Ajez sized up to 12,000 on the Q♦ turn, earning the pot with no further action as Oiberman sent his cards into the muck.

Ian Carroll was all-in for the last 10,500 with the A♣10♠ and had the best of it against Beh Woei Kit with his A♠3♦.

The kicker played on the Q♥J♦2♥4♦7♥ runout.

Marsland Doubles Through Karamanolis

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Dale Marsland opened to 4,000 from under the gun, with Erion Ligu and Kwang Nguyen calling on his left. Amit Shorey came along in the cutoff, and Panayioti Karamanolis defended his big blind.

Karamanolis checked the 7♠4♦2♥ flop, and was the only caller when Marsland continued for 16,000. Another check from Karamanolis on the J♦ turn saw Marsland bet 9,000 while leaving just a single 1,000 chip behind. Karamanolis just called, and checked one last time on the 9♠ river.

Marsland stuck in his final chip, and Karamanolis called while tabling 3♥3♦. Marsland showed down 10♥10♦ for a better pair to take the pot and double his stack.

Down and Up for Awerbuch

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Chad Awerbuch check-called a bet of 22,000 by Hankun Zhao on the 9♥8♥8♣5♣ turn and they checked the Q♥ river. Awerbuch tabkled the 7♣7♠ but Zhao had that beat with the J♦9♦.

Awerbuch got most of his losses back when he was paid off with K♣K♠ on a board of Q♠Q♣7♠10♦4♣ shortly thereafter.

On a nearby table, early frontrunner Denzel Barkho has been spotted with an even bigger stack.

Jehu Chips Up; Tay Doubles

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Wee Tay
Wee Tay

Beh Woei Kit checked the A♥7♥4♥ flop before calling a bet of 2,500 by Liam Jehu and checked the 9♠ turn. Jehu made it 9,000 to go and won the pot.

One hand later, Wee Tay clashed with Ian Carroll and was the player at risk for 70,500 preflop.

Wee Tay: A♠K♦ All in
Ian Carroll: A♥Q♠

The K♠6♣3♥8♠5♦ board awarded the double to Tay and left Carroll on fumes.
