In a preflop all-in, David Xie was the shortest stack at risk for around 60,000 and Kareem Kilany got in there for around three times as much, though he was narrowly covered by Alan Xerri.
David Xie: A♠Q♣
Kareem Kilany: 10♦10♥
Alan Xerri: K♣K♥
The K♠6♦6♣ flop gave Xerri kings full and the Q♥ turn locked up the double knockout to make the J♣ river a formality.
Philip Iglesias moved all in from under the gun for 37,500, and was immediately at risk when David Luong made the call as next to act. The rest of the table folded, and the cards were turned up.
Philip Iglesias: A♦K♦
David Luong: Q♣Q♥
Luong's pocket queens held through the 4♣7♥J♣ flop, while Iglesias connected with the A♠ turn. Nothing further changed on the 8♠ river, and Iglesias earned the double-up.
On a table filled with big stacks and notables, Michael Egan bet the A♣J♠6♦10♠3♠ river for 24,000. Huy Lam let his action clock run down to almost zero before he raised to 75,000 and that sent Egan into a brief tank before he called.
Lam tabled the K♠Q♠ for the king-high flush to scoop the decent pot. No longer featured on the table is Riff Mustafa, who entered today.
Wee Loon Tay moved all in from early position for his last 35,000 before looking at his cards, and David Luong made the call as next to act. Todd Sekli then three-bet to 75,000, and Luong let his hand go.
Wee Loon Tay: 8♣7♦
Todd Sekli: A♣A♥
Sekli turned over his pocket aces, and was never in danger through the K♦4♣9♣5♦2♠ board to send Tay to the rail.
Anthony Xu had lost half of his stack early on while Katy Lo doubled. The latter then opened to 8,000 and Xu jammed out of the small blind. Michael Wood pushed all-in over the top and Lo folded with the words "good luck short stack".
Anthony Xu: J♥J♠
Michael Wood: A♥K♣
The board ran out 9♦7♣6♥A♠3♦ and the ace on the turn spelled the end for Xu.
Joshua McSwiney opened from under the gun to 9,000, finding calls from Daryl Vine on his left and Bob Soka on the button. Rodrick Shen came along in the small blind, and Edward Hatzakortzian defended his big blind to the 4♣5♣7♥ flop.
Action checked all the way around to Soka, who bet 15,000. McSwiney was the only caller, and the Q♦ turn was revealed. Both players checked to see the 4♥ river, where McSwiney slid out a bet of 40,000.
Soka took a moment before letting his hand go, and McSwiney picked up the pot.
Bobby Oparaocha raised to 8,000 and then called the shove by Sailong Wang for only 24,500 in the next seat.
Sailong Wang: 8♠7♠
Bobby Oparaocha: A♥8♣
The 6♥3♦2♠2♥K♥ board delivered no help and the ace was enough to knock out Wang.
Rob Raymond checked the J♦9♦9♥10♠ turn and then called a bet of 32,000 by Paris Sitzoukis. He then checked the 3♠ on the river and Sitzoukis announced a bet of 75,000. The chips were not even placed yet when Raymond tossed in a single chip for the call.
Sitzoukis flashed what appeared to be the Q♣8♣ but mucked when as soon as Raymond revealed K♣Q♦ for the superior straight.
