The previous table of Edward Hatzakortzian and Anthony Hachem had broken but they were moved to a new table.
What followed was a clash of sorts when Hatzakortzian bet the 10♦4♦3♥K♥K♠ river from the hijack and Hachem raised it up to 175,000 on the button. Hatzakortzian called within a few seconds and was shown the K♣Q♣ by Hachem, after which he mucked the K♦J♠ for the same trips and inferior kicker.
The cards were already on their backs with Amanda Decesare at risk holding the 10♦7♦ and she was up against the A♣J♣ of Idris Hassan.
The J♦7♣5♣ flop gave Hassan top pair with the nut flush draw, and he made two pair on the A♠ turn. No miracle came on the Q♠ river to boost Hassan's stack further.
Wadih Barbara opened to 25,000 from under the gun before Tom McMahon slid out a three-bet to 90,000 in middle position. Lucas Morritt then moved all in on the button for 161,000, and Pranav Bhatt shoved his stack of 141,000 in the small blind.
Both Barbara and McMahon called, and the 7♣J♠6♣ flop was fanned out. Barbara led out for 50,000, and McMahon called to the 3♥ turn. Both players checked, with action repeating to showdown on the 4♦ river.
Pranav Bhatt: Q♦Q♣
Lucas Morritt: A♣A♥
Wadih Barbara: 9♠9♥
Tom McMahon: A♠K♦
Morritt proudly revealed his pocket aces, taking down both all-in pots while sending Bhatt out. Barbara's pocket nines were good against McMahon, claiming the small side pot.
A preflop raising war got all of the chips into the middle over on table 27 with Darryl Gassali aiming to knock out Nektarios Dimitrakis and Jiapeng Yang, who both held near identical stacks.
Nektarios Dimitrakis: A♥A♠
Jiapeng Yang: K♣K♠
Darryl Gassali: A♣K♦
The board ran out 9♣7♠4♦Q♠8♠ and that left Yang with only 4,000, as Dimitrakis tripled up for 210,000.
Shortly after, Jai Painter tried to raise but limped instead and that brought in Yang, Bobby Zhang in the small blind and Vajra Castles in the big blind. The flop came 6♦5♦4♥ and the action checked to Painter who bet 18,000. Zhang check-raised to 46,000 which Castles called before Painter used a time bank and jammed for 306,000.
Zhang flat-called and Castles folded.
Jiapeng Yang: 10♠8♠
Jai Painter: 5♠5♣
Bobby Zhang: 8♥7♣
The 3♣ turn changed nothing nor did the K♠ river and Zhang sent two players to the rail.
Level: 17
Blinds: 5,000/10,000
Ante: 10,000
George Kyritsis checked the 5♥3♥8♠ flop from the small blind, and Tam Truong bet 15,000 in the cutoff. Kyritsis then check-raised to 40,000, and Truong called before the 4♠ turn hit the felt.
Kyritsis led out for 65,000, with Truong calling again to see the A♥ river. Kyritsis counted out a bet of 80,000, and was met with a raise from Truong to 330,000.
That sent Kyritsis into the tank, using all three of his remaining time bank cards before the last 30-second clock ran out. The dealer collected the cards from Kyritsis, and Truong raked in the healthy pot.
Michael Pinzone was all-in for 77,000 via three-bet shove and Simon Chahine called to set up the following coin flip.
Michael Pinzone: 5♥5♦
Simon Chahine: A♠Q♠
The Q♥9♣3♦ flop vaulted Chahine into the lead, which he kept throughout the 8♣ turn and 4♣ river.
Idris Hassan limped the small blind and Dylan Foster raised to 24,000 from the big blind. The table chip leader then jammed and Foster called for the last 103,000.
Dylan Foster: K♦10♠
Idris Hassan: A♣Q♦
"Don't worry, the lucky chips are coming," Hassan joked. They did come on the 9♥7♥7♦10♦4♣ runout for Foster to stay in contention.
