€1,000 High Roller Kicks Off Winamax Poker Open Live Coverage
Welcome to the coverage of the 2019 Winamax Poker Open from the Citywest Hotel in Dublin. This is the third year that PokerNews has covered this huge event on the French poker calendar, and this year is no different with a whole range of festivities scheduled to mark the tournament's tenth anniversary.
To begin, we're covering the €1,000 High Roller for the very first time. This tournament begins on 25th September at midday, but there have already been five Day 0s, where players can enter for €225 and receive 20,000 chips (10,000 in the two Turbo Day 0s). The tournament then plays until 20% of the field remains, and players bring however many chips they accrue through to today.
Players entering on Day 1 will start with the full 100,000 chips and will play a total of twenty 30-minute levels. There are 14 levels of late registration and unlimited re-entry.
You can expect to see a whole bunch of big names hoping to follow in the footsteps of former winners of the WPO High Roller.
